Yes you can. I didnt believe it until I tried after reading these comments. Paralyze him, and get him down to literally couple red health. Took about 20-30 tries but I just did it.spideraman99 answered:
Yes, you can. I actually caught mine with a Great Ball.
Whittle down its HP with attacks like Night Shade and make sure you save before it.
Paralyze it as well and keep throwing balls.
Bring it down to as little HP as possible first.

Yes you can I caught Mewtwo with a pokeball at FULL HEALTH and he wasnt even sleeping or anything I just started the batle threw a pokeball and caught him.

No it is not lie.At that time there was a glitch with the catch rate calculation.Anyone could catch mewtwo with full health and without status condition by throwing six pokeball.Thats why it was fixed in later gen.DodrioFan44 answered:
This sounds stupid, but I got it's hp really low, and used ONE poke ball and got it. I don't want to be a show off. Don't try it yourself. And yes, you can. It took me like a million times w/Articuno.

Make the feline doze before you try catching it with anything, unless you are making use of your Master Ball.

i catch allFour legendary pokemon on red usung pokeballs and ultraballs,jst take ist HP down and make is sleep,frozen or paralized(spellings?)Guest answered:
You can do it with a regular poke-ball, out of all the statuses I recommend paralyses and get it as close to the edge of it's hp as you can, if you are trying to catch it with weak Pokemon and you have your hm slave, which has flash, use it as much as you can so he is only able to hit with swift, bonus if you also have growl, and just chuck like 10 balls after getting his health to like 3-5 hp you should be able to catch it.
(RESULTS MAY VARY)
