Yo, I caught myself a pikachu after I had beaten the elite four. I just wanted to get an electric that I could raise to like level 90 without rare candies.
 
 And I started to raise him and for the first couple levels he would start to evolve to raichu, but I pressed 'B' to cancel it because I know that raichu doesnt learn anymore moves and it was only like level 5.
 
 After doing that for a few levels it stopped trying to evolve, but once it got to level 10 or 11 it started trying to evolve again. Im stumped as to why this is happening because I don't even have a thunderstone which you need to give pikachu for him to evolve.
 
 Has anyone else had this happen to them or can anyone offer an explaination? I thought it was seriously weird when my level 4 pikachu grew to level 5 and I got the " What? Pikachu is evolving!" message.

Um, Pikachu only can be evolved by thunder stone.

I have beaten this game 10 times and it's imposseble for pikachu to evolve without a thunder stone.

If you have a missingno. It could be an effect............ Or your your game is broken or wrecked.

You must have a Growlithe in your party.. He acts as a thunderstone for some unknown reason. Happened to me too.
