I can't get my red version to save properly! It keeps deleting my file, and I think it's because the memory cartrige is messed up. Someone please tell me how to fix it if it's possible?!?!

Have you used cheat codes a lot or did you catch Missigno? Those two things, especially on the older games, tend to mess up your game.

Well, you are full of Pokemon problems today aren't you? Allow me to try and help you out. Keep in mind, this this game is extremely old, and that they make no new copies of this game. So, what that means, is that the Pokemon Red cartridge you have is extremely old. It could have simply stopped working. Another possible problem with your game, is that you caught either the (m) Pokemon, or Missingno. Catching Missingno is a big no no because it can do all kinds of bad, and admittedly amusing, things to a person save file. That could be the problem. You might want to have it looked at it, I think that this button object deep inside the cartridge may have popped out. That will make the game stop saving. See if you can get someone to pop it back in or something.

The game is probably damaged so there is not much you can do about it except try and get a new cartridge. If you have used lots of gameshark codes it may have stuffed it up, or if you caught missingno.
