How to link

ME and my brother have the link cable. We connect then go to the poke centers, and go to the second counter, but it tells us that it is reserved for two people. Is there a certain poke center we need to go to or something?

It's not the badges that count. You've got to have the actual link cable in first and then the pair of you have to press A at roughly the same time to talk to the woman blocking the way.

Make sure that you have one badge, that will help if any badge problems occur. Go into a Pokemon Counter, and talk to the woman responsible for connecting you, and your friend. Make sure the cable actually works, and that it is inserted into the two gameboys' correctly, when you see that it is press A. You and your friend must press it simultaneously, then keep pressing A, to skip through all the talk. Now save the game, and you two should be connected.
