Its funny how I found a Heracross, I was lookin for spearow by Erucretck (spell) and found a red heracross!! But anyway, Look by Ecreatck and headbutt trees at night you'll find one

There is no limit on battles.

Just get any type fighting pokemon!! (jeez people!) examples- Execcutor (Grass & Psycic) Tyranitar (Rock & Dark) oh.. and a *super* awesome pokemon for Battle tower....~*****Lapras!*****~ Mud-slap,Sing,Perish song, Ice attacks, Water-(Hydro pump) ( & a tip:1st Turn-Perish song 2nd turn-Sing...And before its count is 0.. Pull it out!! And wallah! you have wonderful butt kicking technique!!!) And yrbanys is a life saver a gave mewtwo lightball and it worked like a charm

)

Heracross can be found by headbutting trees in mountainous areas, like near Mt. Mortar. Same for Aipom.

You can battle as many times as you like at the battle tower, but it gets kind of monotonous after a while. I can't exactly help you with the lv. 40 division because i only use lv. 10 and lv. 60 pokemon at the Tower.

However, I can suggest that you use legendary pokemon, or the same kind of pokemon as the other trainers use (only more beefed-up by supplementary items such as iron and calcium).

Go to azala town and go to the tree where you find wht apercorn and headbutt the tree right above it and remember that heracross are nocternal (sleep in the day, are awake at night).
