1.What does the red scale that you get from Gyarados do for you?

Remember old Mr.Pokemon from the beginning of the game? Well, he will trade the
Red scale for an experience share, I think, or something else fairly good.

You can buy the evolution stones at Goldenrod Department Store.

In Pokemon crystal, you can't get any evolution stones, unless in kanto region way up to the cerulean city, theres a house who usually owned by bill in R/B/Y version, he'll ask you to get him some kind of Pokemon and in exchange for stones.

In Crystal u CAN get stones if u get the numbers of 5 diferent persons that will call you to give you stones.

You ARE able to buy the stones in the games. I think it's set on a certain day of the week- or days- but I'm entirely sure which day. And, as already stated, if you take the Red Scale to Mr. Pokemon, he will excahange it for an Exp. Share. I do not believe the Scale has any other purposes.

Actually, the only way I know to get the stones in Pokemon Crystal is, at the the top of Cerulean cape, lives Bill's grandfather, and he asks you to show him five Pokemon he describes, then he gives you the stone for each. With Lickitung, he gives the everstone. With Oddish, he gives you the leafstone. With Growlithe, the firestone. With Staryu, the waterstone. The last one, he describes Pikachu, but then he says he'd like to see it before it evolves, so he means Pikachu's prevolution, Pichu, so, since Pichu can't be caught, you must catch or buy a Pikachu at the Goldenrod casino, and have it have children with a Ditto (if the Pikachu is a male, you leave it with the old man and the Ditto with the old woman; and if Pikachu is a female, you leave it with the old woman and Ditto with the old man) at the day-care at the south of Goldenrod city. You wait for them to have at least one egg (when the old man is waiting outside in the yard), you carry it till it hatches, the way you do with Togepi, and when Pichu is born, you take it to Bill's grandpa, then he gives you the Thunderstone.

Get the phone numbers of Gina picknicker and one of the school boys just outside the park north of golden rod

In crystal, there is two way to get stones:
1,. Trade phone number to Geena, picniker at route 34 for Grass stone; Alan schoolboy at route 36 for fire stone and; Tully fisher at route 42 for water stone.
It could take few time bt it's only way to get stone before elite four
2:. Bill's Grandfather will tell you to show him some Pokemon and he will give stone if you will show him that Pokemon.
