You cant find a vulpix in pokemon crystal.....I think you can buy it by kanto....in celadon city....with that coin stuff...

There is no vulpix in crystal, mr. Pokemon doesn't give it to you either, you'll have to trade it with Pokemon gold, silver, blue, red or yellow

According to http://pokedream.com/games/goldsilver/walkthrough/07-nationalp.php - Vulpix can be caught (in Crystal) on Route 36/37, However I have been trying to find one for some time (day and night) with no success.

Yeah vulpix is found in silver only! Even the maps missions are the same as gold and crystal,,,the difference is the Pokemon available in every version,,if you want to collect all the Pokemon ,,you must buy all kinds of version of Pokemon game,, such as gold silver and etc...... Thats it,,heh!

If you only wants to hear the answer you want to hear, don't bother asking for advice / opinions etc.
You can't get vulpix in Pokemon crystal or gold. Only SILVER version.

the only other region is kanto and i think there is no route 40Guest answered:
I just found Vulpix on Pokemon Blue right outside of Celadon city. Exit through the right side of the city, and walk around in that grassy area. I am not sure what the route is called, but thats where to find Vulpix in blue.
