Campaign Part 1: Get Zweistein (4 of 8)

Our next challenge has us charged with amassing an insane amount of money in our Swiss Bank Account - something that we have not really focused on so far...

The recommended settings for this are:

Island: Boa-boa

Economic Difficulty: Medium

Political Difficulty: Medium

Disasters: Occasional

Remember each time you rotate back to the islands their status is the same as when you last left them, so you don't need to repeat efforts in order to build infrastructure - so as long as you did a good job last Mission here, you should be doing well now.

In addition to stashing lots of money in your secret bank account, you are also charged with finding and kidnapping the scientist Abraham Zweistein - who may be the key to developing our own super-weapon!

The basic objective here is to generate a $50K Swiss Bank Account in order to win the Mission. Well, that and keep the people happy, the economy rolling, and all that!

Compared to the previous Mission this one is actually relatively a relaxed play - Frankie would be happy with it!

Mission 4 - Disaster!

What you will want to focus on initially is building up the industry and the population support infrastructure. Don't go overboard though - focus on solving the housing and health issues for sure, building housing and clinics. At the same time develop industry that makes use of what you are already producing in terms of raw goods.

Exploit the Coal and Gold Mines as soon as you can, and once you have a solid industrial footing, be sure to build a Power Plant. But do not neglect Tech!

Once you have enough industry set up you will eventually unlock the Achievement Made in Tropico (20G) Exported 100,000 Luxury Goods.

Another Achievement that you should naturally unlock as you play through this Mission is The Madness of Crowds (10G) Had more than 500 citizens in a single game.

Mission 4 - Rebel Attack

Since you will be seeking to make the Industry present for this Mission as efficient and profitable as possible, chances are very good you will take the time (as there is plenty of that) to place Managers in the key buildings. That should unlock the Achievement Middle Manager of the Revolution (20G) Had managers in more than 15 buildings in a single game.

Conclusions

The trick to doing well at this Mission is to remember that the condition you come out of it in will have a massive impact on later missions here! So pay attention to the economy and the population mood. Keep both solidly supported.

Ultimately the fact that the point is to slowly fill up your Swiss Bank Account - no matter how much the actual stated goal is confusing - means that this is largely a Mission that is dragged out and takes a long time to complete.

IF YOU GET STUCK: It is possible to get stuck in the game - by which we mean you progress past the point you were expected to hit the $50K and you cannot seem to do it now - build the Customs House, and then upgrade it with the Swiss bank Tax and that will put a share of exports in your account - and take you home to victory!

On the plus side - as noted above - you will unlock more than a few Achievements in the process - and more to the point, thanks to the slower pace you get a chance to experiment with a lot of different industry and economics.

There is one thing you need to bear in mind though as you play through this Mission - it is NOT a throw-away mission. What we mean by that is that two missions from now when your play swings back to THIS island, you are going to have to hold yourself accountable for all of the decisions you made in this mission.

That being so, it is a good idea not to get too extreme here - because that could very easily cause you trouble later. Conservative play and minding the needs of your population is never something you will end up later regretting. Just saying...

Good guide! Been watching T5-vids for a while now, and wanted to play the game. Lo and behold! It was released on ps4, and I`ve been enjoying it far too much over the weekend. Got stuck though, and after a bit of searching, I found your guide, which has helped me out immensly. Mucho thanks, and here`s a banana and some quality rum to wash it down Smile
