Storyline Plots And Relatability

Storyline Plots And Relatability

The fact that all the Games released by the company are about Pokemon technically relates all of them to the next, but they also a number of other factors that closely connect the story from one game to the next.

Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal (as well as their later remakes) brought the greatest amount of relatability from the Games released just prior to them. In the original games, a new trainer must embark on a new journey as they try to defeat the evil Team Rocket Organization. The Second Generation Games kept closely to this theme, keeping Team Rocket as the main antagonist of the game, in both the new Johto Region as well as the old Kanto Region.

The next set of Games and all the ones after, from generation to generation, broke away from the whole Team Rocket theme. However, they each kept adding a new set of evil crime to each new region. The games also kept to the theme of becoming a Pokemon Master as the trainer tries to do the impossible task of trying to catch every last Pokemon, something that has become an increasingly difficult task with the growing number of Pokemon and regions.

Each storyline of the mianstream Games stick closely to this specific script, but the creators of Pokemon continue to put new spins in the storylines as they continuiously try to keep all the stories connected in one way or another. Making newer and a little more different crime organizations with a brand new region also brings a new breath of life to the games, insetad of the boring old same old, same old.

But even as the Games broke away from the Team Rocket regime, the anime series stuck closely to it and have yet to give up on it in the anime series. They still encorporate the other criminal organizations from the later games for each new region, but the loveable losers of Jessie, James, and Meowth are still going strong (and not catching Pikachu) in the anime series. Friends, Rivals, and Gym Leaders and Champions also persist in all the Pokemon Games, as well as incorporating Pokemon and Legends from older generations into the newer games.

It's the same concept time and time again, just with a new plot with exciting new twists.
