Heatran, Regigigas, Shaymin

Last Updated:
Heatran, Regigigas & Shaymin

The next three Pokemon we're going to cover really have nothing to do with each other, but rather they each have their own little storyline. Two of them are Legendary Pokemon (Heatran and Regigigas), and the other, Shaymin, is a Mythical Pokemon.

Heatran is a pretty unique Legend, as its the only one that can be either gender. It's a Fire-Steel Pokemon that is also a bulky defensive wall in competitive play. It also is the main storyline star after defeating the Elite Four in the Sinnoh Games.

Regigigas is the master of Regi Trio that we already covered. The story goes that Regigigas was tamed and put in the Snowpoint Temple after trying to separate the regions of the Pokemon World. It's a normal Pokemon that has some seriously strong stats, but is borderline useless with its Slow Start Ability (cuts speed and attack for first five turns).

Now Shaymin, unlike the previous two mentioned, has two separate forms. It's a solo Grass Type in its normal form, but its Sky Form is given a Grass / Flying dual typing. Fly Shaymin is devasting with the speed and special attack its carrying, but its regular form can still do some damage in competitve play.

#485 - Heatran: Heatran, as mentioned, can be found in all the Sinnoh Games after defeating the Elite Four deep inside Stark Mountain. It can also be found in Reversal Moutain in Black 2 and White 2, as well as the Scorched Slab in both Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire after the main storylines.

#486 - Regigigas: Regigigas can also be found in all the Sinnoh Games (as well as all the games Heatran is found), at the bottom of Snowpoint Temple in all three, but access differs from the three games. In Diamond and Pearl, you must have the other three Regis in your party to be allowed to battle it, while in Platinum you don't (it's also at Level 70 in Diamond and Pearl, but Level 1 in Platinum). It can also be found in the Fifth Generation Sequels in Twist Moutain, and Route 105 in the Third Generation Remakes.

#492 - Shaymin: Like all the other Mythical Pokemon, besides Deoxys of course, Shaymin can only be obtained by a Pokemon Event. However, it can be found in-game in the all the Sinnoh Games if you obtained the Oak's Letter Event.
