Evolution Moves

A New feature of the Seventh Generation is Evolution Moves. These are moves that a Pokemon is guaranteed to learn upon evolving, meaning if you miss the standard Level to evolve a Pokemon, you won't miss out on learning its Signature Move! In previous generations, these were the moves commonly listed at the top of a Pokemon's Learnset, designated at Level 0 and only learnable by going to the Move Reminder.

However, there is a small setback with Evolution Moves. This occurs if you a evolve a Pokemon at a Level when the evolution would learn a move which is also a Level 1 Move but also an Evolution Move, causing the Pokemon not to learn the Standard Move. One example of this is Abra, who evolves at Level 16 when Kadabra is suppose to learn Confusion at that given level, but instead learns the Evolution Move of Kinesis. Due to this error, which is still unclear if things were meant to be like this, Kadabra won't try to learn Confusion at all
