Wild Hold Items

Like every Generation before it, the Seventh Generation contains Pokemon in the wild that can actually be holding items. Actually, there are more than 100 different species in the wild that can be holding an item! However, most of the items that can be found of any of these given species are at a mere 5%, meaning it's very likely you'll never find a Wild Pokemon holding an item.

You can always check though if you have a Pokemon with the move Thief and isn't holding an item. When this move is used on any of these given Pokemon, you will find out if they are holding that item. That, or you can always catch them and see if they are holding it.
