After 80+ days of no Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon news, our drought was broken by a dissapointing Lycanroc form. Sure, it is arguably the coolest form, but not much of a surprise.

I'll admit, I'm a lot more excited about what news reached me today: Kommo-o getting his own signature Z-move! It raises his stats all by one stage after using it AND it has the ability to hit all opponents on the field. (borderline OP right now lol)

But we also got to see the cover art for US/UM (finally!) and a look at the new HP bar. I'm disappointed that it reverted back to a Gen 6 style as Gen 7's was a LOT more fun to look at.

So it appears we may be getting more exciting news in the future as the release date for US/UM just crept to under 3 months away! I for one can't wait!

Why would I use Razor Shell? To have a 50% chance to lower their Defense, that's why. My personal preference, Liquidation is just as good. First Impression and Aqua Jet are an amazing one-two punch to finish your opponent off while they're still at 40-50% HP! Leech Life is great for HP recovery while we tank hits with our Assault Vest. Leech Life combos well if you get a Def drop with Razor Shell. Again, Emergency Exit is a problem.

Golem-Alola @ Air Balloon

Ability: Galvanize

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD

Brave Nature

Golem was always nice to set up rocks and then go BOOM. Imagine a STAB-boosted BBBBOOOOOOMMMM!!! But, in place of Ground-type, Golem-Alola gets Electric-type, losing his x4 weakness to Water and Grass but in turn becoming x4 weak to Ground. Hence the stylish Air Balloon. Volt Switch is a way to bring in Golem later for his whopping Galvanized Explosion or his powerful Stone Edge.

This is a lower-tier mon, but definitely has it's place in the competitive field.

Giraffes aren't found in Hawaii... Right? Well, I guess tall coconut trees are found there.

Exeggutor-Alola @ Sitrus Berry

Ability: Harvest

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

Exeggutor is cursed to forever have a x4 weakness, be it Bug or be it Ice. So you will have to play carefully here. Alola-Exeggutor's hidden ability, Harvest, is super useful because it allows him to recycle a Sitrus Berry and drain with Leech Seed with one Protect. Substitute is a nice way to counter an Ice-type switching in long enough to set up Leech Seed and Protect once before switching out (or avoid Toxic)

Dugtrio-Alola @ Groundium Z

Ability: Sand Force

Dugtrio-Alola loses Arena Trap - the one ability that lets it obliterate Tapu Koko and Xurkitree, and in it's stead we get Tangling Hair, which is reliant on the opponent making contact with Dugtrio. This doesn't work, because when you make contact with Dugtrio, Dugtrio dies from a lack of defenses. So instead, I went with an all-out attacker who combos with Tyranitar well (Sand Force) and can hit hard (Groundium Z and Final Gambit). Sucker Punch, though nerfed, is a nice tactic to 'finish him' if 'him' is an opposing..

Gramps is back for revenge with a special ability: Berserk, which raises his Special Attack by one stage after he goes below 1/2 his HP. I thought of this as meh until I realized he got Roost. So you can trigger Berserk again. And again. AND AGAIN! Drampa has decent defenses, Calm Mind supports those and your SpAtk again. I run his two STAB moves because Hyper Voice is good vs Substitutes and Dragon Pulse is, well, a Dragon-type move. Again, this makes you weak to Steel as both your attacks are resisted by Steel-types. T..

This is an amazing Pokemon, too bad you only have a 1% chance to find it while fishing off the dock of the 4th island. That said, good luck!!!

Rapid Spin gets rid of Stealth Rock and Spikes (those are SO annoying) and is a nice 4th option to allow us to use Assault Vest to work with ..

This works amazingly well with a Z-Parting Shot user, such as Alolan Persian. With 125 base Atk, he can also hit like a truck. The reason I invest in SpDef is because he has a lacking 60 base SpDef (to nerf his tankiness), so that way Assault Vest offers more bang for our buck. This is one of my personal favorite sets as far as good combos with ability, stats, and item go. BEWEAR!!!

Good Game Freak wasn't copyrighted because this thing looks like the Bumble from Rudolph. His evolve condition is even being on a snowy mountain.

I like Assault Vests, deal with it! I also went against a Trick Room team and nearly got swept by this thing, if you're doing that, get Ice Hammer and a Life Orb! But this set can power up while Hyper Cutter protects from Intimidate and hit hard with Avalanche. You do have to switch after using Close Combat though, so you could sub that out for greater flexibility.

Hello y'all, I'm back from winter break and back from recovering after nearly dying of homework, so back to posting movesets! YAY!

Anyways, Bruxish is only well known for it's Dazzling ability really, but it has so much more potential, packing 105 base Attack with Strong Jaw to boot for it's signature move, Psychic Fangs (85 base pwr + Brick Break effect), which is capable of destroying Light Screen and Reflect! (get rekt, Klefki!!!) So the idea with this set I made is to fake or threaten Dazzling when necessary, but run Strong Jaw:

Spirit Shackle traps them to set up Toxic next turn, with Roost to heal and Protect to stall. It makes for a very solid strategy.

The Pop Star Pokemon will leave a dent in your defenses!

Very tanky with only 2 weaknesses, Brionne also packs 91 Special Attack and can Burn with Scald, drop SpAtk with Moonblast, pick up a kill with Aqua Jet, and hinder your opponent with Encore. Definitely a strong Pokemon with Eviolite!

Meet young Incineroar, who has 1.5x Incineroar's Speed and 0.75x his Attack. Is the speed worth the slight drop in Attack? I think so.

Torracat @ Life Orb

Ability: Blaze

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

Torracat can use Fake Out, with Life Orb bringing the damage up to Incineroar's, without the limit of a Choice Scarf. Then you can you-Turn out or Flare Blitz for damage. The most significant loss here is arguably the Dark typing, as Torracat has to rely on only one STAB move. Even so, this is still a viable competitive Pokemon.

This is probably the most loved new starter Pokemon, the favorite of SC Pokemon legend Warrior13. I'll stick with my Primarina though ;)

With low speed, Incineroar relies on his mighty power to decimate opponents. Personally, I like his signature move, but his stat layout is all over the place - that I don't like. But, being such a fan favorite, he will be used frequently, so having a resistance to Fire is absolutely necessary.

To get the Pokemon Sungalo you must first get Cosmog. Cosmog can be evolved into Cosmoem at Level 43 and then evolved into Sungaleo at Level 53. Sungaleo is a Psychic/Steel type.

Use the following trick at the Thrifty Megamart on Akala Island to get free Premier Balls. At the Thrifty Megamart you will always receive a 50% coupon at the door which you can use when you talk to the lady in red to buy at least 10 Pokeballs at a time so you get a free Premier Ball. Then just sell back your Pokeballs for your purchase price and keep repeating until you have the desired amount of Premier Balls. You can speed up the process by simply pressing Right on the D-Pad which will auto select 11 pokeballs.

The Oval Charm is an item that will boost significantly the rate at which Eggs appear at the Pokemon Nursery. You can get the Oval Charm by first beating the game and then visiting the Game Freak building and defeating Morimoto who will then give it to you after the battle.

Simple enough, in fact. If you've played the game, you've seen a weakened wild Pokemon 'call for help', usually summoning a wild Pokemon of the same kind to help. Well, that summoned Pokemon has a 1/512 chance of being Shiny - same odds as Friend Safari.

Pros

-This method allows you to hunt ANY Shiny Pokemon you desire, while Friend Safari limited you to your friend options and pre-programmed options.

-Amazing chances to get a Shiny... Still much patience required though ;)

-Get an Adrenaline Orb and use one in-battle to increase chances of getting a wild Pokemon to call for help - they cost p300 in any PokeMart.

Lovely. Just lovely. Very strong, but lacking in HP, Def and Spd so a rather low-class mon. A great movepool saves it from having to sadly sing forever apart from all competitiveness though.

Still Water-type Perish Song for Battle Royal!

The sand castle lives up to it's name - tanky but slightly weak to water. Water Compaction can definitely by exploited though with careful play!

I know, I know, part tank and part offense is weird, but this still lives a Xurkitree Energy Ball. You may want Amnesia or Iron Defense to wall certain things instead of Stockpile. This is a great counter to Tapu Koko, Xurkitree, and Alola Marowak - all strong favorites of the current meta. I'd recommend Sitrus Berry because the meta now leans toward the mighty mons, like UB's (Celesteela being the only strong tank among them).

With 127 SpAtk and 103 Spd, Nihilego is a real threat - especially thanks to Beast Boost. After Beast Boost though, Nihilego is a threat to be reckoned with!

Tested this myself, it works well. Sub, then Bulk Up once (hopefully twice, then resub, Leech Life to heal, and Focus Punch because it's strong ;) After playing this, I actually liked using it, quite bulky and was living a Scarf Xurkitree T-bolt (probably Modest then) with about 45% HP - not bad.

Just like Alolan Ninetales, this stunning Pokemon... Err, Ultra Beast, has as much inner brawn as outer beauty! It sure lives up to it's classification as an Ultra Beast!

I add Lunge for lack of better Physical coverage, unless you're OK using Bounce or want to try Return instead, which are both valid options. Alolan Ninetales is arguably the most majestic Pokemon ever created... More majestic even than it's flaming alter ego! This Pokemon is x4 weak to Steel, which definitely lowers it's potential, but when they're out of the way, Alolan Ninetales' Speed and Special Defense are nothing to laugh at!

Found in Heahea City a shiny charm will triple your chances of finding a Shiny Pokemon in the wild. To obtain the Shiny Charm you must first complete the Alola Pokedex, then talk to the Game Director in Heahea City.

Found in Heahea City an oval charm is said to increase the chance of Pokemon Eggs being found at the Nursery. You can perform the following trick at the Thrifty Megamart on Akala island as you will always receive a 50% coupon at the door. Talk to the lady in red and buy at least 10 Pokeballs at a time to get your free Premier ball. All you have to do now is sell back your pokeballs for your purchase price and repeat until you have the desired amount of Premier balls. If you press Right on the D-Pad which will auto select 11 pokeballs you will be able to speed up the process.

This is a very interesting Pokemon... Literally tanky one minute then a sweeper the next! There has to be SOME way to exploit that capability, right?

Simply start a new game transfer Greninja and items to your full version game.. Trade your Greninja and items to your other Pokemon sun and moon game save it. Then Delete game you took Greninja and items from and start a new game and transfer Greninja and items from the demo again. You can continue this as much as you want. Have fun (= T.A.B..
