Slow Down In Alola

Much like the laid-back culture found in the islands of real-world Hawaii, everything in The Alola Region has this same feel. From the extensive storyline to the many breaks in such, things seem to occur at a much slower pace. This can also be found in Pokemon of the region; look no further than the Base Speed Stat of all the New species.

The truth is that only NINE Seventh Generation Pokemon has a Base Speed over 100, a marker that is just barely average in the competitive world of Pokemon. And four of those Pokemon are either a Island Guardian or Ultra Beast! These nine Pokemon include: Ribombee, Lycanroc (but only its Midday Form), Salazzle, Comfey, Minior (but only in its Core Form), Tapu Koko, Nihilego, Pheromosa and Kartana.

So what do this mean in the grand scheme of things? Well, it means that you should definitely at least think about adding these Pokemon to your teams when playing through the game. It also most likely means that these nine will have the best chance at making it big in the competitive world. This isn't a guarantee, but any seasoned Pokemon Player knows that Speed is key.
