.Back in your base, your hardworking Pals work tirelessly to perform various activities and tasks to keep your production going. However, there are instances where your Pals will eventually fall to despair due to neglect or bad working conditions. In this article, we will discuss the various ways of addressing your Pals' mental and physical ailments.
Your Pals are the gears that keep on turning to keep your base operations running. Of course, Pals are not machines so they need basic things like food and rest to function properly. If you keep neglecting them without providing these basic needs, your Pals will get stressed and will become prone to sickness and injury.
Your Pals' overall health can be measured by the SAN (Sanity) value. We have covered this topic in detail on a separate page so you can check it out.

Some of the negative passive skills of Pals can also make certain negative conditions worst or take effect faster so keep an eye out for those as well.
There are a total of ten negative status effects that a Pal may be inflicted by. They are the following:
| Illness/Injury | Solution |
|---|---|
| Cold | Craft Low Grade Medical Supplies and feed it to the Pal |
| Depressed | Craft High Grade Medical Supplies and feed it to the Pal |
| Fracture | Craft Medical Supplies and feed it to the Pal |
| Hungry | Pals will automatically search for the nearest Feed Box. Make sure that the Feed Box has a good stock of food. If the hungry Pal is stuck on a terrain, access your Palbox, remove the Pal from the base and deploy it again. It will automatically head to the Feed Box and eat. |
| Incapacitated | When your pals' HP drains to zero, they'll get knocked out or Incapacitated. The only way to revive them is by putting them back inside your Palbox and waiting until the revival timer is complete. |
| Overfull | Craft Low Grade Medical Supplies and feed it to the Pal |
| Sprain | Craft Low Grade Medical Supplies and feed it to the Pal |
| Starving | Pretty much the advanced state of Hungry. Use the same solution for the "Hungry" status mentioned above. |
| Ulcer | Craft Medical Supplies and feed it to the Pal |
| Weakened | Craft High Grade Medical Supplies and feed it to the Pal |
Now you have the medicine, how will you give it to your Pals? Unfortunately, there's no automated or convenient way to do it at the moment. You have to add the medicine in your inventory and physically interact with the Pal that you need to treat. This can be very cumbersome especially if they're trying to run towards their task. Sometimes, you can't even interact with them if they're in the middle of a task, when relaxing, or when sleeping.
The quickest way to do this is by using your Palbox console, return them to the Palbox remotely then re-deploy them again. You have to quickly turn around and interact with the Pal. For the PC, it's by pressing number 4 then selecting Feed. Select the medicine you want to give and if successful, the Pal will approach you and take the medicine. The cure will take effect immediately.

As we have mentioned already, the illnesses and injuries are related to the Pal's SAN value. If the base lacks food, bed, or facilities where the Pals can replenish their SAN, you'll find several of your Pals getting frequently injured or having mood swings whenever you visit. We have covered this topic in detail on a separate page so you can learn more details there.
You'll need to craft a Medieval Medicine Workbench. Eventually, you may want to switch to an Electric Medicine Workbench for faster production. You can craft the medicine yourself but that will take a lot of time. Deploying pals with the Medicine Production passive will allow them to tend to the production even while you're outside the base.
