Stewie's Tea Party Event
Limited Time Special Event
18 July - thru - 22 July
This was originally included as regular Mission content in Part VII Entertainment DIstrict - but once we realized what it actually was it was moved here, to the Special Events Section. Sorry for the confusion.
Note: This event is what we have come to know as "Weekend Specials" - a type of event that is unique to Quest for Stuff among city-building grinders in that it always appears with very little and usually no warning, it covers only a three-to-four day period, and its prizes are always game objects that are incredibly desirable and worth the effort that is required to obtain them.
All of that is true of this event.

While this event is titled "Stewie's Tea Party Event" it does not actually require you to have unlocked the character of Stewie Griffin or have added him to your game yet!
This Special Event is what is known as a "Weekender" in the QfS Universe - that is to say it appeared out of nowhere with no advance warning, and it only runs for four days. If you were not aware of it, you can easily miss part of it and that would be a shame since among the prizes that it offers is the character of Rupert, who serious fans of the show will know is Stewie's best imaginary mate.
That being the case and in spite of the already full plate you probably have in trying to gather the resources for adding Stewie to your Quahog, we strongly recommend that you drop everything else temporarily and heavily pursue this event at least until you unlock Rupert, which can happen at any point in the event as the Mystery Box Prizes are purely random (though NONE will repeat).

It would not be a Special Event if they did not include some special items and objects as part of it - and for the purposes of decorating your Quahog, the following have been added for the Tea Party Event!
It is our considered opinion that the above pair of objects, while they are nice, and while they might contribute to the collection of resources towards this event, are also way too expensive to be justified unless you are literally rolling in Clams and have nothing netter to do with them!

As part of the Notice System that has become an established standard in the game, upon logging into the game after unlocking the new district the players will be presented with a content splash screen that details the new additions to the game that apply - bear in mind that while it first appeared that this Special Event was in fact part of the regular content for the new District, it is now very obviously NOT the case.
The Stewie Griffins "Tea Party" Event is a Special Event that has nothing to do with the new District.
The Description for this Weekender Mini-Event
Stewie wants to have a tea party! Help him collect toys for his guest list for a chance to win cool items including a very special guest! Stewie can have up to three (3) parties each day. Each day he wants a different toy. This event ends Tuesday (July 22nd).
A Counter appears at the bottom right corner of the screen - and this event features unique target toys that are revealed when you tap the counter. Toys are obtained by having select Characters complete Tasks for which the Toys may be a reward.
Up to now what you have been doing is playing a Farming game to get the Coin to unlock the new Land Expansion Plots - and having your Characters complete the various Tasks that can obtain the resources that are required to complete the various Outfits.
Obviously your priority has now changed - mostly due to the fact that a TIMER is running on this!
Have all of the Characters who have a Toy Task (see list below) switch to those, while the remaining characters continue with any Outfit collection activity that they were previously doing.
Character -- Task Name (Timer) Reward

Peter -- Cook Disgusting Vegetable (4h) Toy of the Day.
Quagmire -- Fornicate with Giraffes (4h) Toy of the Day.

The collection of the specific Toys that are required to unlock each of the three daily Mystery Boxes are important enough to warrant actually spending Clams to obtain them if the timer is running low - however once you actually obtain the Rupert Character and his associated Building (The Bare Bear Tanning Salon) there is no longer any pressing need to complete the Mystery Boxes such that would justify spending Clams.

The mechanism for the Tea Party Event is based upon the number of the daily Toy type you have collected. Basically there are three potential stages where the party can be held - with differing results:
Stage 1: 6 Toys Collected
Collecting and turning in x6 Toys will award you with the Stage 1 Tea Party Box.
Stage 2: 14 Toys Collected
Collecting and turning in x14 Toys will award you with the Stage 2 Tea Party Box.
Stage 3: 24 Toys Collected
Collecting and turning in x24 Toys will award you with the Stage 3 Tea Party Box.
The Tea Party Details Screen that is obtained by tapping the Toy Counter bottom right of the screen is titled "Stewie's Tea Party" and contains all of the basic details for the event, like when the Toy type will change, what the counts are, and etc.
Based on previously revealed information the expectation for the addition of the character Rupert (who is Stewie Giriffin's Best Imaginary Friend) was thought to be tied to the addition of a Premium Building called the Bare Bear Tanning Salon. Specifically then there was never any notion that the character could be added without the building.
We can now confirm that when you receive Rupert as a prize in the Mystery Box, you ALSO receive the building associated with him.

You need to obtain (unlock) each of the three Prize Boxes, which means you need to collect a total of x24 of EACH TYPE of Toy!
Once you have collected the required number and tapped the OK button, look in the In-Game Store under the FEATURED Tab, and the first object will be Tea Party Mystery Box. This is priced at FREE. To claim it you must buy it.
The following prizes may be randomly awarded from each Mystery Box:
Big Bubbly Fountain (Actual Value = $5,000 Coins)
Dansu Dansu (Actual Value = $7,500 Coins)
Gold Digger Island (Actual Value = $7,500 Coins)
Herbert's Ice Cream Truck (Actual Value = $1,500 Coins)
Koi Pond (Actual Value = $2,000 Coins)
Lobster Shanty (Actual Value = 65 Clams)
Pawtucket Ale Truck (Actual Value = 40 Clams)
Peter's Pirate Car (Actual Value = 150 Clams)
Spotlights (Actual Value = 10 Clams)
Stewie Flower (Actual Value = 5 Clams)
Stewie's Billboard (Actual Value = 10 Clams)
Rupert Doll Character (Actual Value = Who Can Say?!)
Note: There is NO specific order that the prizes will be awarded - that is to say it is purely random. The ultimate goal is to obtain the Rupert Prize - and that can happen at any time. We know of one gamer who received it as the second prize of the event. We were not that fortunate, but still the effort that we put in to this was well worth it in our opinion!
While the Mystery Prize Box System is supposed to be a purely random event, we thought you might be interested in knowing WHAT we received for our own efforts! You should also be aware that none of these will duplicate - that is to say there is zero chance of you getting the same prize more than one time.
So here is the rewards we received for each Box:
Box Name - Prize
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Level 1 (6-Toy) Yellow Giraffe Box -- Herbert's Ice Cream Truck
Level 2 (14-Toy) Yellow Giraffe Box -- Lobster Shanty
Level 3 (24-Toy) Yellow Giraffe Box -- Stewie Flower
Level 1 (6-Toy) Purple Octopus Box -- Koi Pond
Level 2 (14-Toy) Purple Octopus Box -- Big Bubbly Fountain
Level 3 (24-Toy) Purple Octopus Box -- Pawtucket Ale Truck
Level 1 (6-Toy) Green Dinosaur Box -- Rupert and the Bare Bear Tanning Salon
Level 2 (14-Toy) Green Dinosaur Box -- Peter's Pirate Car
Level 3 (24-Toy) Green Dinosaur Box -- Gold Digger Island
Level 1 (6-Toy) Zombie Dood Doll Box -- Stewie's Billboard
Level 2 (14-Toy) Zombie Dood Doll Box -- Dansu Dansu
Level 3 (24-Toy) Zombie Dood Doll Box -- Spotlights
The more that we think about this the more it seems obvious that the special prize has to be the Bare Bear Tanning Salon that you have to have to unlock Rupert, and not necessarily the Rupert Character itself! Well, we shall see when we get there!

It is pretty clear that while Rupert and the Bare Bear Tanning Salon feature as the most desirable prize in the Special Weekender Event Stewie's Tea Party - the Bare Bear Tanning Salon and the Character of Rupert WILL be available as a Premium Purchase in the In-Game Store after the event ends. We know this for several reasons...
The first is that the Rupert character appears as the fifth and final character in the "Characters You Buy" Character Collection that can be found in the FaceSpace Site in-game.
The second is that while the Weekender Event was clearly and freely available to all, there is a good chance that a vast majority of players may not have the time to actually unlock it as part of the event. And of course gamers who begin playing the game AFTER the event would not have had any opportunity to obtain it, so for that reason it is pretty clear it will also be a Premium Object for sale in game.
Characters You Buy Collection
The collection that Rupert appears in - the Characters You Buy Collection - pays a pretty hefty reward of 100 Clams! Of course that barely offsets the cost one has to spend in order to obtain it, but still...
This collection includes the following Characters:

Warning: There is a known bug - it is not clear exactly what causes this to happen - that can strike at any time in which the In-Game Store will refuse to allow you to redeem your Toys for the Mystery Box. Instead of awarding you your random prize, it shows you a pop-up with Conseula (the Premium Maid) and the notice "No, no, no. Your purchase will not work. We fix. You try again later."
This is not really all that big a deal - unless the timer is running out on the event that is... It is not clear if there is a negative result if you just continue to claim Toys without claiming prizes but we don't think so, because the Toy Count (on the meter at the bottom of the screen) does change its count, subtracting whatever the number of Toys was that was used to purchase that Box.
That being the case, the only thing that this bug does in theory is inconvenience you - hopefully it will not happen so often that you cannot complete the event, as that would truly suck!
While this could be caused by things we do not know about, there is ONE thing that you can have done that WILL cause this bug to hit: Be playing the game when the timer expires.
If the pop-up tells you that the Toys will change at 20:00 hours / 10 PM and you are playing when it happens, if you try to redeem a box you will get the error above. Simply log out of your game and completely close it, then reboot your device to be absolutely sure it logged you out and closed the client.
When you log back in, if the Toy is now different on the meter, that worked and you will be able to use the In-Game Store to obtain the boxes!
