Peter Griffin and the Kingdom of the Full Moon Event

Thank you for printing this page from www.SuperCheats.com. Remember to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff

Last Updated:

Welcome to the First Special Event in Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff - which is called Peter Griffin and the Kingdom of the Full Moon! This section of the QfS WTG is a comprehensive Reference resource for this Special Event.

FYI: The front matter is intended as the SE Introduction area, and will contain commentary and information. The middle section covers the Missions, Quests, and associated Tasks. The end matter includes additional Reference material as well as Hints, Tips, and additional information on the new objects of every type that have been added to the game.

Sadly there are some crucial issues that you must be made aware of straight away - as in NOW - in order to protect your interests in this SE and the objects that it may add to your game. We say "may" because some of them will be lost unless you take specific steps.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Special Notice and Warnings

When the event begins there is an area above the town of Quahog that contains a Pyramid and the damaged Museum. When the Special Event ends, the Pyramid AND that new area above the town WILL NOT remain. However IF you purchased the Museum (assuming you continued to play through the event) the Museum will remain in the game - just not in the location it is presently in.

Due to the presence of timers you may be worried that failing to complete the unlocking of Cleveland Brown within the timers will mean you do not get to keep him. That is not factually the case. Basically as long as you have purchased the Museum (for 200 Idols) you will be able to keep Cleveland even if you failed to unlock him during that timer event. You will still have the opportunity to unlock him and keep him, again as long as you did purchase the Museum.

That is the good news. The bad news is that if you FAIL to unlock and complete the Adventure Peter Outfit, when the event ends you will NOT get to keep him or keep working towards him. You really truly need to complete him BEFORE the timer runs out mates.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

So what's the deal? Well, there is a giant Pyramid in town - and oh yeah, Cleveland came back!

Party in the Back

The time has come, what with enough of the Mummy Troops having been taken out, that Peter needs to focus his attention on the Mummy King - because he knows if you cut off the head, the body will sort of flop around doing really funny Mummy dances...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Party in the Back Pt. 1

The first step in tracking down and dealing with the Mummy King is to build a Really Fancy Throne to lure them in...

Build the Really Fancy Throne (300 Moon Idols @ 12h Build Timer)

This Mission rewards you with 100 Moon Idols and 195 XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Party in the Back Pt. 2

Peter has a plan to defeat King Butt. But you need to do it before the timer expires.

Find the required Jello Shots.

This Mission rewards you with 100 Moon Idols and 260 XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Party in the Back Pt. 3

Peter wants to defeat King Butt once and for all! Defeat King Butt one more time before the timer runs out...

Find the required Jello Shots.

This Mission rewards you with 200 Moon Idols and 350 XP.

Important Note: IF you are serious about collecting the necessary Moon Idols in order to unlock and obtain ALL of the associated prizes THIS is the Quest you want to focus on. Because if you can consistently hit the target number of the specific type of Jello Shots each time BEFORE the timer runs out, then the number of Moon Idols you get as part of the reward is multiplied up to 50x the normal amount.

What that means is, if you manage somehow to be lucky enough to hit the required amount to the x50 level, you will be earning Fifty Times the 150 Moon Idol reward! Obviously that beat the pants off of trying to gather the Moon Idols the usual way. Just saying.

Pretty much all of the boys have a 4h Task that applies to this - so at a minimum and ignoring all of the other missions and quests except any that are also time-limited, you should have Peter, Cleveland, and Quagmire doing this Quest.

Pop 'n' Lock Pleather

WARNING: This is a Limited Time Outfit Quest!!

Peter and Cleveland want to live it up like the old days - and that means re-creating the signature look and feel of their 80s versions - which naturally enough means a trip down memory lane via Al Harringtons place!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pop 'n' Lock Pleather Pt. 1

Help Peter and Cleveland Brown re-live their halcyon days of the 1980s by recreating 80s Pop Star Cleveland via Al Harrington's Outfitters! Simply do the following:

Create 80s Pop Star Cleveland

Completing this Special and Limited Time Quest will also award you 100 Moon Idols and 130 XP!

To unlock 80s Pop Star Cleveland Brown you will need to collect the following resources:

  • x3,500 Moon Idols

  • x20 Dancing Shoes

  • x15 Sheen

  • x15 Pleather

After you have collected all of the resources above, simply head over to Al Harrington's Outfitters and tap on the Create Outfit button to get 'er done! This outfit does not have a timer delay so once you tap the create button it will make it straight away.

Once you receive the official reward of 100 Moon Idols and 130 XP open the In-Game Store and then tap the building and structures tab - all the way to the end of the list are two new FREE structures - the first is a Building called St. Elmo's Clam, while the second is an Animated Structure called 80s Dance Floor.

You can place these anywhere you like and as it says, at no cost, but you can only have one (1) of each - they disappear from the In-Game Store menu once they are placed. By the way the Animated part of the Dance Floor is flashing coloured lights that mimic a Tetris Screen - how 80s is that?!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pop 'n' Lock Pleather Special Event -- Get 100 Clams & Get Pop Star Cleveland Faster

This special temporary event is for the Pop 'n' Lock Mission, and requires you to place three unique mission-centric Buildings in order to unlock the special prizes - and the Pop Star Cleveland Outfit faster.

When you flag this special Mission you start a 2-day timer - the Mission Icon will disappear (and the Mission will end) if you (a) place the three special structures, or (b) allow the timer to run out without doing so.

Clearly this is intended to encourage you to spend real-world money in the game - but before you scoff at that bear in mind that the Pee Pee Pants the Inebriated Clown Limited Time Event taught us that you cannot always achieve completion using the free method. So the question that you have to ask yourself is how bad do you want that new outfit and the Tasks it contains?

We are told that eventually the Pee Pee Pants Outfit will be obtainable through regular play, but as it stands now very few players actually have it, and they do not seem to be in any rush to add the resources for it into the game any time soon. Just saying, you should have all of the mitigating circumstances before you make a decision.

To accomplish that you need to buy and place the following structures:

1. The Razzle Dazzle (75C) Always drops Dancing Shoes

2. The Fast Fresh (150C) Always drops Sheen

3. The Budget Badass (150C) Always drops Pleather

So basically for buying this 375 Clams worth of special Buildings you will receive a faster track to gathering the resources that are required for the Limited Time Pop Star Cleveland Outfit, and the award of 100 Clams...

The moment you place the final third structure the Mission ends and you receive the 100 Clam reward, so in the end you only actually end up spending 275 Clams for those structures.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pop 'n' Lock Pleather Pt. 2

Cleveland needs to get ready for the club in this multi-part Mission that makes use of the two free structures that you obtained by completing his 80s outfit. So let's get the ball rolling here:

1. Build St. Elmo's Clam (Free) an homage to the 80s Brat Pack flick St. Elmo's Fire

2. Build the 80s Disco Floor (Free) Look for Tetris displays in the lights...

3. Prep for the Club (6h) $65, 45XP, and 26 Moon Idols.

Completing this Mission awards you with 100 Moon Idols and 195 XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pop 'n' Lock Pleather Pt. 3

Cleveland still needs to do his hair...

Hot Look (4h) $50, 30 XP and 20 Moon Idols.

Completing this Mission awards you with 100 Moon Idols and 260 XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pop 'n' Lock Pleather Pt. 4

In an attempt to recapture their youth that they last saw lost in the 1980s or thereabouts, Peter and Cleveland do some dancing in the streets - just like the song says!

80's Club Dance (8h) $200, 65 XP and 80 Moon Idols. (Peter + Cleveland Required)

Completing this Mission awards you with 200 Moon Idols and 350 XP.

The Adventure Journal

Entry 1/7: This giant pyramid just appeared in Quahog. I wonder how they built it since Mort's the only Jew in town. But no time to worry about that now, Cleveland's missing!

Last night's kind of a blur. . . But I remember getting drunk at the Quahog Egyptian Museum. I should retrace my steps like in the movies.

Entry 2/7: Cleveland's caught in quicksand! I should probably go rescue him instead of journaling my thoughts. . . But my New Year's Resolution was to take more "me" time.

Rescuing someone sounds like a lot of work. I know! I should reward myself with a whole new outfit. Something loose enough to kick *** in, but tight enough to show off the goods.

Entry 3/7: Dear Journal, Cleveland's still in trouble and this pyramid still hasn't opened. The bigger news is that Bonnie has been changing pretty openly in her bedroom window. It has to be some kind of test. This will not end good for me.

Entry 4/7: Dear Journal: Whew, Cleveland is finally safe. I forgot how much he talks about seafood. It's constant. He doesn't even know that there are different kinds. He just calls everything "lobsterfish." Whatever.

Since I saved him I deserve to collect all the prizes before time runs out. I know I say I deserve things a lot but this time I really do.

Entry 5/7: Dear Journal, Found out these mummies have been partying for the past 3,000 years because of some curse. Cool mummies. Cool curse. I'm jealous.

Now, I hate them. I want to smash them because they're jerks, not because they get to do what they want without going home to the same boring wife and kids every day.

Entry 6/7: Dear Journal, Found the mummies' leader, King Butt. It sounds like a porno guy's name, but who am I to judge? My middle name's "Labia." Peter Labia Griffin.

Apparently it's a family name. My grandfather used to say "We were named Labia way before the lady body part was!"

Anywho, let's get this King Butt guy drunk off Jelly-Yo shots and forget about my weird name...

Entry 7/7: Dear Journal: Thin I've knocked King Butt down a few pegs, but I think I'm gonna keep kicking his *** for a while so I can earn more butt idols and get more prizes.

The best way to get over your insecurities is to bully others to make yourself feel bigger. That's why I torture box turtles every time someone makes fun of me at work. You should try it.

As the first Special Event for Quest for Stuff, the Moon Idol Event has turned out to be a serious success. The reasons for that are the careful planning that went into creating the different story lines, the supporting items that were added to the game, and of course the Characters - with special emphasis upon that of Cleveland Brown, who we have recently learned is in the process of selling his house in Stoolbend and packing the U-Hall to return to Quahog following the cancellation of his show.

From a Characters point of view this first SE has really boosted the variety in the game, adding (or at least emphasizing) the following:

  • Adventure Peter

  • Cleveland Brown

  • Cleveland Brown - 80s Pop Star

  • Midlife Crisis Lois

  • S & M Lois

In terms of Structures and Buildings we have seen (bearing in mind that new buildings and structures are widely thought to be the single first-most-important new element in the game as far as most players are concerned) the following added subsequent to the SE starting:

  • 80s Dance Floor

  • Active Volcano

  • Adventurer's Bazaar

  • Bazaar Antiquities

  • Exotic Snack Stall

  • Fancy Magma Shrine

  • King Butt's Throne and Dias

  • Lavish Magma Shrine

  • Party Pyramid

  • Ricky's Cantina

  • St. Elmo's Clam

  • Stewie Sphinx

  • Swanky Magma Shrine

The second-most-important addition to the game at any time, as far as most players are concnered, is any of the genuinely significant objects, decorations, and objets d'art that really do allow the player to take what is arguably a bog-standard Quahog and turn it into a unique and thriving city that expresses the character of the individual player.

These include but are certainly not limited to:

  • Crown Canopy Tree

  • Evil Monkey Statue

  • Not-so-Angry Gorilla (Animated)

  • Party Camel (Animated)

  • Red Hot Coal Pit

  • Royal Cat Statue

  • Swordsman Guard (Animated)

In terms of decorative objects the challenge is to fit in what you can without it appearing as if you have taken the approach of using a shoe-horn to cram them in. The serious and dedicated players approach their Quahog in much the same manner that they approach the Springfield in their Tapped Out - trying very hard to create the appearance of a well-planned city design while at the same time creating a unique village-like-feel that is meant to express individual tastes.

When adding the new decoration objects it is in your best interest to remember that, from this point forward space is going to be very limited, particularly in that with the unlocking of the Asian Town District we will be at the mercy of the development team and its wizards while we await the addition of new Districts.

This applies now and specifically to the very much desired and anticipated Districts that will add the Buildings that introduce the Characters of Stewie Griffin, Tom Tucker, Carter Pewterschmidt, Mayor Adam West, and eventually the suspected but not yet revealed third-generation of characters.

Tough Decisions on Spending Your Moon Idols

The choice of imagery for the "Moon Idol" while it is not very refined does make its point pretty much straight away, right? A derriere made of pure gold?

That noted and the strikingly Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark homage notwithstanding, when this SE reaches its conclusion, before the special additions to the In-Game Store are removed as part of the ending process you are going to need to make some tough decisions in terms of how you choose to spend those golden fundaments before it is too late.

Remember that there are two distinct totals that are added to the game during the SE: the Score, which is the cumulative total of Moon Idols you have collected, and then the Idols, which is the cumulative number of all of the Moon Idols you have collected minus those that you have spent on items.

This is a decision that is made all the more difficult by the wide array of rather desirable objects. In fact here is the master list of what we like to call the Treasure of the Golden Gluteus Maximus with the catalog items followed by their individual cost in terms of the golden fanny one must part with:

  • Desert Oasis (15,000 Moon Idols)

  • Egyptian Bath House (3,000 Moon Idols)

  • Evil Monkey Statues (10,000 Moon Idols)

  • King Butt Flag (50 Moon Idols)

  • Lotus Pond (20,000 Moon Idols)

  • Quahog Egyptian Museum (200 Moon Idols)

Special Moon Idol Booty Box Package

In a rare show of isn't that wicked awsome?! the wizards behind the game created the Booty Box in the store that allows you to spend 4,000 Moon Idols for a random item. So far the items that we have collected from the Booty Box include the following:

  • 10 Clams

  • 3,000 Moon Idols

  • 4,000 Moon Idols

  • 5,000 Moon Idols

  • 5,500 Moon Idols

  • 7,000 Moon Idols

  • Flammable Dry Bush Garden

  • Lincoln Memorial

  • Open Air Debris Garden

  • Queen Nefertahtah Statue

  • Small Yacht

That pretty much puts the wraps on that - but keep an eye on the timer for this event and be sure that you purchase the items using Moon Idols that you mean to purchase, right?
