Part I: Prologue & Tutorial

Thank you for printing this page from www.SuperCheats.com. Remember to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff

Last Updated:

Please bear in mind that this is a new game, and a new guide - we are writing this guide as we play the game, so the newest section of the guide represents the place we are actually at in the game. As omniscience is not one of the skills with which we are gifted, we can only include the content that we have experienced ourselves.

Yes, we are aware that there are other objects, Outfits, missions, quests, and events that exist in the game, and we have not intentionally left out those contents in the game guide - we just have not experienced them, and as a result, we don't include them here because this guide is written from facts.

Thanks for your patience as we proceed in creating the Unofficial SuperCheats Guide to Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff!

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

The Prologue

If the setup seems a little familiar you probably have played The Simpsons: Tapped Out... But then this game is similar, not a copy, so it is all good!

The Prologue begins with the Griffin Family learning that Fox has once again canceled Family Guy. Fix calls a town meeting to "explain" the decision, and as everyone takes their seat the meeting begins with the new President of Fox appearing on screen -- and they are none other than Peter's arch nemesis -- the Chicken!

A battle royal ensues and between the pair, Peter and the Chicken manage to destroy the town, leaving it either in flames or as rubble.

After the Chicken finally defeats Peter, the Prologue ends and the first part of the game begins -- though before we get to that there are a few matters that should be touched upon.

The Whole Chicken Connection

Before we Progress here -- and if you are not a fan of the show or even if you are -- we think you will find it interesting to know a little more about that Chicken and the fight with Peter...

See this is actually a running gag in the TV show -- the Chicken is named Ernie and, as you can see, he is a Giant Chicken with whom Peter Griffin has a long history of violence. That is to say that whenever they meet, they fight. It is what they do. It is not your fault, I promise - they cannot help themselves. Call it chemistry if you like, but whatever it is, it always -- ALWAYS -- results in a bloody fight that more often than not causes mayhem and destruction all over town!

In the show Ernie often shows up in the middle of a scene, interrupting Peter, at which point violence erupts because, like I said, that is what happens with these two!

Part of the gag here is that their fights are long and drawn out, and invariably the fights are won by Peter, who then picks up where he left off in the show -- except for the fight you just witnessed in the game, where Ernie won!

I cannot really explain that -- Peter is usually the winner -- what can I say?

There is a backstory here though -- you see this feud started when Ernie gave Peter an expired coupon, as illustrated in the episode "Da Boom." As a result o f this negative experience, Peter no longer accepts coupons from Chickens... Naturally.

City-Building Game

Family Guy: Quest for Stuff is a City Building Game that functions by timers. Basically each of the actions you take in the game requires X-amount of time. You have the choice of waiting out the timer (which is pretty much the free side of freemium) or you can choose to pay in-game premium currency to rush the timer (that being the premium or paid side of Freemium).

This is also a Grinder (as in Freemium Grinder) in that to achieve the next level(s) you will be "grinding" out quests. The good news is that as long as you are patient there is really no reason to spend real world money -- at least on the timers anyway -- you may actually want to spend money on Characters and items and the like... Just saying...

But if you follow this guide, we will get you there without spending money. Because hey, that is what we do!

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

The WTG Part I

After the Chicken finishes up on Peter he is left semi-conscious on the ground and that is where the Quest grind begins!

Unprompted Quests

Bear in mind that when a character does not have a prompted Quest -- that is to say when they are either dependent upon another character completing their quest first or they need to level to get to their next quest in the story -- you can (and you should) have them do quests from the ones that are available to them -- choosing the quest based on either your play schedule or the related other character quest.

Two Sorts of Leveling

In addition to leveling each character individually the XP you earn from their quests ALSO levels your town!

If you look at the top left side of the screen you will see your town level, and if you look at each character individually you will see their character level. The two have nothing to do with each other really...

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

Welcome to Quahog

Following the opening cut scene in which you attend the town meeting and Ernie the Chicken has his say, Ernie and Peter have a battle royale in which the entire town is pretty well destroyed. After Ernie wins the battle - at least that is how it looked to us anyway - you then begin what is in effect a very long multi-part Tutorial that is made up of a series of quests and missions - some obviously related and others not so much.

This part of the first section of The Unofficial SuperCheats Walkthrough and Guide to Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff covers those elements of the game!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Revive Peter

To complete this one all you need to do is tap on Peter to help him get up!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Put Out the Couch Fire

The next Quest is meant to reinforce how the Quest System works with a single-task Quest -- putting out the burning couch. This also shows you how the rewards system works -- ie: you get Coins (the in-game non-premium currency) as your reward as well as some XP.

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

Helpful Hint #1

Premium Buildings and Characters

Please be on notice that as this guide is written from the perspective of spending as little real-world money as humanly possible -- and the assumption that you will take what Clams you save up in the game through regular play and apply them towards completing the Builder /Worker Bunk Quests -- we treat ALL of the Quest Lines that appear from Premium Characters as purely Optional Quests.

What that means is simple -- if you purchase a building with Clams (or WHEN you do so) all of the Quests that are part of the Character that comes with that building are treated as Optional Quests and so will only appear in the Guide Section reserved for them, which is Part 0: Purely Optional Quests.

Due to that and even if we make Reference to some of those Quests in the main guide, you will still need to consult that Section of the Guide for the details pertaining to each.

Cheers!

Repair Peter's House

The next Quest uses the money you just earned to pay an undocumented worker to repair Peter's House. When this fast quest completes you not only have restored the house, you have also unlocked the character of Chris -- that is a good thing, because the more Characters you have unlocked, the more quests you can have going.

Ah but there is a catch here - even though you have unlocked Chris, you still need to complete a Quest to restore him to full functioning capacity!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Restore Chris

This is a multi-part Quest -- first you need to create a pair of pants for Chris -- who has disposed of his having wet himself because of the disaster.

After completing the pants part of this multi-parter you will need to then give Chris some money -- do that first by following the prompts and collecting Coins from your house, then giving them to Chris.

The game then explains that Clams are the Premium Currency in the game, and that they can be used to speed (rush) the timer. The game then prompts you to use 1 Clam (from the 5 Clams you "found") to get Chris everything that he needs to become fully unlocked. Go ahead and spend that Clam!

Having spent the Clam Chris now has everything he needs to be fully unlocked -- Pants, Money, and Socks.

Questing Mini-Tutorial

Now that you have mastered the primary controls and have a better idea of how the town is laid out, and what is expected of you more-or-less, it is time for you to get familiar with the Questing System of The Quest for Stuff and what better way to do that but then to complete some rather simple quests?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Quests Tutorial

The game now shows you how to identify Characters with available quests -- that being the "!" that appears over their heads.

When you tap on a character with a "!" over its head that character will give you a new Quest. You learn that the quests that you have flagged are stored in the blue clipboard, and you then can begin the next (and really the first official) quest!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Quest for Cable

Drag the action balloon over to make Chris serve as his TV antenna; for an epic fail. To accomplish this have Peter and Chris complete the following Task:

Get Better Reception (6s) $25 and 20 XP.

The completion of this Task and Quest also results in the awarding of $25 and 20XP -- a pattern that will repeat with each Quest -- there being the initial reward for the Task(s) that make up the Quest, followed by a Quest Reward that varies in money and XP.

You should make harvesting any Buildings with reward bubbles above them a priority.

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

The Road to Rebuilding

Now that you are familiar with the town structure and have mastered the whole Questing issue, it is time to start to seriously address the whole rebuilding of Quahog challenge! That means buying and placing building projects, getting used to the combination of timers and the limited number of Builders available to you, and for the most part acquiring an appreciation for Karma and good deeds!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Road to Rebuilding Pt. 1

The very limited success Peter has in getting the TV reception makes it obvious that another solution is required. After a brief self-deliberation Peter concludes that rebuilding his neighbor Joe Swanson's House -- and cable TV connection -- is the best way to go.

The solution to the problem takes the form of a multi-Task Quest that requires you to complete the following Tasks:

1. Build the Swanson House

2. Fulfill Bonnie's Needs

For part one you need to tap the highlighted shopping cart, which will show you what you can buy -- in this case the important bit here is the Swanson House -- which will cost you $10.

Buying and placing Joe's house Unlocks and adds his wife Bonnie Swanson to the game. In addition to being the Griffin's next door neighbor, Bonnie is also wife of Peter's friend Joe Swanson (the handicapped police officer).

Bonnie reveals that Joe is not home; and then asks for your help in locating the missing items from the Emergency Kit that she means to use to repair the house. Completing this Quest requires you to complete the following Tasks:

1. Build the Swanson House -- Cost = $10.

2. Fulfill Bonnie’s Needs to fully unlock and add her to your game.

(a) Adrenaline -- Make Peter do the Task Kick Stuff! Roadhouse! (6s) $25 and 20 XP.

(b) Oregano -- Make Chris do the Task Find a New Friend (6s) $25 and 20 XP.

(c) Fireworks -- Harvest from the Griffin House when Timer fills. Rewards: $25 and 20 XP

After you complete each of the three steps you will need to tap on its symbol in order to fully complete it, at which point you will fully unlock Bonnie Swanson. For completing this Quest you receive the reward of $25 and 20 XP. Well done you!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Road to Rebuilding Pt. 2

Back to Peter - and thanks to our foresight of selecting one pink flower bed as one of the decorations we have already completed the first part of this Quest - right? Well, if not, then the following steps are required:

1. Place a Pink Flower Bed

2. Place the Spooner St. Sign

When you have placed these two objects you receive $50 and 40XP.

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

Bonnie's Bake Sale

The Introduction of another character to your Quahog also serves as the chance to show off the special and character-specific Task System. This Mission also introduces the mechanic of purchasing supporting objects that will facilitate the assigned Quest or Task!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Bonnie's Bake Sale Pt. 1

Now that you have Bonnie fully unlocked you have a third character with which you can complete quests, so well done you! To complete this Quest do the following:

1. Purchase the Bake Sale Stand from the In-Game Store;

2. Place the Bake Sale Stand outside Joe & Bonnie's home;

Fulfilling these steps results in a reward of $25 and 20XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Bonnie's Bake Sale Pt. 2

Now that you have the Stand and have placed it is time for Bonnie to sell the baked goods she has created! Complete the following Task:

Bake Sale (6s) $5 and 3 XP.

Completing the Quest rewards you with $25 and 20XP and raises Bonnie to Level 2 - well done!

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

Helpful Hint #2

When your Characters have a lengthy Mission to complete - like the 6h spooning mission that Quagmire and Peter have - have the rest of your characters also do a task of similar length such as their 4h Tasks.

That is also a good time to have your worker clear a new section of land!

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

Shape Up Quahog

It is time to put Chris to work and to learn about XP and the process of leveling up both your town and the Characters in it. You will also learn about Tasks, Missions, and Quests that require more than one character to complete a specific single action. Teamwork in other words...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Shape Up, Quahog Pt. 1

The next Quest is flagged by Chris, and has two parts:

1. Make Chris Hula Hoop (6s / $5 / 3XP)

2. Help Chris Level Up.

Completing the first step also rewards you with $25 and 20XP, which in turn Levels Chris to Level 2 - thus completing the second Quest requirement! Man you are really good at this!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Shape Up Quahog Pt. 2

The next Quest is also flagged by Chris and has you play a game with Chris and Peter.

Chris Wants to Play Fat Leapfrog (6s) $15 and 8 XP.

This requires both Chris and Peter to be free, and completing this Quest also rewards you with $50 and 40 XP.

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

Quest for Quagmire

It's time to add yet another character to your town, a task that you will accomplish through adding another building to your Quahog! Through this stage in the guide we learn about clearing and unlocking Expansion Land Sections, and the timer-based building and structure placement and completion. Well done you!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Quest for Quagmire Pt. 1

The next Quest is to clear the next block - that being the block that Glen Quagmire lives on - which is flagged by Peter. After tapping Peter you are given the option to clear the block at a cost of $150 -- commit to that and the funds are deducted from your bank, and the block is cleared... Not as big a space as you probably thought, but still it is Progress.

Clear Quagmire’s Block (5s) Cost = $150.

Completing this Task also rewards you with $50 and 40XP and takes Peter to Level 2.

You will notice that the screen expands a bit to take in the new territory -- try pinching your fingers on the screen to zoom in and out now -- you should play at the resolution (depth) that you are most comfortable with...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Quest for Quagmire Pt. 2

This is a two-part Quest that leads to Peter helping out Quagmire...

1. Erect Quagmire's House

2. Help Quagmire Out

First you need to purchase Glen's house -- which will set you back $50 and take a full minute to complete. After the house is built you add Glen Quagmire to the game -- but he is locked (hence the second part of this Quest!).

To unlock him you need to provide him with four items:

1. Buttscratcher -- Have Peter Surf the Bird (6s) $5 and 3 XP.

Doing this will get Peter to Level 3, and add the Tweaked Out Peter appearance, as well as the Dance the Shipoop and Stub His Knee actions.

2. Tissues -- Make Chris Nose Goblins (6s) $5 and 3 XP.

Completing this task takes Chris to Level 3, and Unlocks the action Enjoy Private Time.

3. Panties -- Make Bonnie Chug a Bottle of Wine (1h) $20 and 12 XP.

This Quest will take an hour, at the end of which you will have collected the item that Glenn appears to need... Or is that desire?

4. Collect from Quagmire's House -- Collect Vaseline from Glen's House.

When you collect from Quagmire's House it will spawn a jar of Vaseline which you collect.

With all of these items complete, open Glen and tap their ticked icons to complete the Quest and fully unlock Glen Quagmire, adding him to your Quahog as a quest-doing character. In addition to that you also receive 5 Clams and 20XP as your reward. Well done again!

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

Check Out FaceSpace

Now it is time to explore some of the information tools that can provide you with an easy way to check the status of your Characters - like their level, and which of their Outfits they have unlocked. When the game first launched the FaceSpace display was very different than what you see today, as it has been changed and it has been upgraded.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Check Out FaceSpace

Peter remembers that he has a phone - and decides that now would be a great time to check the FaceSpace Social Network...

Actually what this Quest is for is to show you the "FaceSpace" button at the bottom of the screen -- this is the button that you can use to see everyone in your town. While that is not as useful now, since your town is still rather small, it will quickly become essential once your town is larger and filled with Characters!

Pressing the button shows you the FaceSpace interface, which in addition to showing you the Characters you have unlocked (and the outlines of those you have yet to unlock) also allows you to pick the character you want to interact with by tapping their mugshot which takes you to their FaceSpace Page.

The individual FaceSpace page is very similar to a very early version of Facebook -- basically it offers the typical social networking experience but for a character in a game...

After you follow the instructions and tap Peter's page you are rewarded with $25 and 20XP for completing this Quest.

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

The Great Quahog Multiverse

Next on our list of experiences is learning about the time and space travel system created by the famous inventor and really smart fellow, Stewie Griffin!

Called "The Multiverse" these alternate time lines that feature a unique Quahog that is very different than your own Quahog permits you to have any number of neighbors - and when you visit them you can even earn money, XP, and Clams

You will want to add as many mates as you can to the game eventually, but for now let us just get through this brief Mission, shall we?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Great Quahog Multiverse

It seems that it is now time to find Stewie in this Quest flagged by Peter... This is actually the tutorial for accessing what would be the "Neighbors" in Tapped Out but in Family Guy it is the Multiverse.

Simply tap the revealed button -- the Social Button -- and you get to visit Ollieland (when you have mates which are added via Facebook you can also visit their Quahogs)...

You can complete up to 3 actions with each daily visit, earning coin and XP for your troubles -- and if you are really fortunate you can even earn a Clam or two!

After you compete the three actions hit the home button to return to your Quahog, and collect $25 and 20XP -- but it seems we lied about getting Stewie.

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

Put Some Bling On It

The purpose of this next part of the basic tutorial is to show you how to add Decorations to your Quahog in order to further customize it and make it your own.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Put Some Bling On It

This Quest is flagged by Chris, and shows you how to add decorations to your town...

The objective is to place any 2 decorations -- and opens the store to show you both the Premium (meaning paid for with Clams) and regular (meaning paid for with Coins) decorations you can purchase.

Flower Beds are a cheap option at $20 each -- and once you place two of them you receive the reward of $50 and 40XP. Nicely done!

Helpful Hint #3

Clearing Land

Considering that QfS is a very young game - it was only released on 10 April 2014! -- its inclusion of a game play system that basically encompasses the old saw that you get out what you put in and makes it a real element.

What that translates to is simple enough really, with there being no limits other than your patience for active play. If you are willing to sit and dun through the short-timer Tasks you can very quickly build up very nice Coin in your Coin Bank.

With a tasty warchest of extra Coin -- and presuming you expanded your Builder Bunkhouse at least once so you have one Builder for story-based play and one Builder for the Free Will stuff, you can get serious about clearing the land!

What I suggest you do is simple: throw the headphones on and listen to an Audio Book while you rip through lots of short-timer Quests with all of your Characters. Once you hit your target bank in Coin, send that extra worker out to clear some land! Rinse and repeat tomorrow and the day after that and... Well, you get the idea!

Land Clearing Costs

The only land you can clear is land in zones you have already unlocked -- and for this stage of the game that basically includes the interior corner and the woods to the west. Clearing the interior corner will go very fast as it is mostly short-timer tasks costing small change.

Clearing the Internal Section of the unlocked zone consists of two (2) sections following unlocking the Restaurant and Bar Zone and clearing its first section where you repaired The Clam. That leaves just two sections for the Interior:

  • Section A (2h) Cost = $150

  • Section B (2h) Cost = $400

Clearing the Western Woods on the other hand? That will take some real effort on your part, but it is very much worth doing. The figures for the four sections of the Western Woods are as follows, starting from the north (up) and working south (down):

  • Section 1 (8h) Cost = $3,000

  • Section 2 (12h) Cost = $4,000

  • Section 3 (24h) Cost = $7,000

  • Section 4 (24h) Cost = $7,000

When you are all done you have a very nice (large) area of the Western Woods cleared away and how about that? Time well spent that was and good on ya!

Construction is my life!

--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--

Clam Juice

The Drunken Clam plays a very significant role in the social life of the residents of Quahog, a little village on the outskirts of Providence, Rhode Island, and it is time you got to know about that! Of course before you can do that you need to restore that important gathering spot, and this Mission is designed to facilitate that process!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Clam Juice Pt. 1

Peter and Quagmire want to drink at the Drunken Clam - which would be a neat trick since it was destroyed but... Hey... Wait a minute?! You can rebuild it! in fact you have to!

1. Enter the Clam Quarter

2. Clear the Block

The Clam Quarter (District 2) is home to restaurants and The Drunken Clam. Tap on that part of the Quest to unlock this new area in your town!

Now tap the second part and clear the block so that you can spend $50 and take around 20s to clear the area where the Clam is... Completing those two tasks rewards you with $75 and 50XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Clam Juice Pt. 2

This Quest is flagged by Peter and has two parts:

1. Repair the Drunken Clam

2. Help Jerome

The first part is dead simple - tap on the Clam to initiate the repair, which will cost you $100 and take 2m.

Helping Jerome is another multi-part task to the Quest:

1. Oregano -- Make Peter Surf the Bird + Make Chris Find a New Friend + Make Bonnie Bake Sale.

2. Pawtucket Ale -- Make Peter Hang Out at the Clam + Make Buzz Killington Drink at the Clam + Get from The Drunken Clam.

Note: You do NOT have to do ALL of these - you only need to get the beer from one of them - so even though it may look like you have to spend money to unlock Buzz Killington you can ignore that step and do one of the others instead and thus NOT spend money on Clams.

3. Burger -- Get from McBurgertown

To do this you will need to actually buy and place the McBurgertown - but to do that you will need some space to place it. You can use the lot across the street from the Clam for this or clear some space beside it but bear in mind that you have to place it inside the commercial zone here...

Go ahead and place and build McBurgertown (a 1h task).

Once you get the Burgertown build, you will need to wait 2 (or more hours) for its timer to fill so that you can collect from it. There is a chance - just a chance - to collect the Burger you need. Once you do you will fully unlock and add Jerome to your town.

Completing this Mission rewards you with Jerome, $75, and 50 XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Clam Juice Pt. 3

Jerome thanks Peter by teaching him a valuable lesson. To complete this Mission you need to have Jerome and Peter available to complete the following Task:

Do an Ethnic Handshake (2h) $75 and 50 XP

Completing this Mission also rewards you with $75 and 50 XP.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Clam Juice Pt. 4

Peter looks for supplies at The Founding Father restaurant. To assist him with that task you need to place and build the restaurant and then help Bruce with TWO of the "Help Bruce" items from his list:

1. Build “The Founding Father” restaurant.

2. Help Bruce.

After you build The Founding Father the character of Bruce, an openly gay man who is also openly happy, needs your help to become fully unlocked and added as a character to your town! To do that you must provide him with the following 4 items:

1. Tube of Vaseline

a. Make Peter Surf the Bird

b. Collect from Quagmire’s House

2. Hawaiian Shirts

a. Make Jerome “Most Happy Hour”

b. Make Quagmire “Giggity Strut”

c. Make Peter “Stub His Knee”

3. Jewels

a. Make Jerome Grow His Fro

b. Make Quagmire Let the Gerbil Loose

c. Make Bonnie Twerk It

d. Get from Family Jewels (Premium Buildings; Cost 50 Clams)

4. Gather some Coins

This is accomplished simply by collecting Coins from Buildings whose timer has filled...

As with the previous multi-part Unlocks you do not have to do ALL of the above, just one or more of the tasks until you collect the relative item.

Once you have all four items simply tap on their icons in Bruce's personal menu and you will fully unlock your newest character. Welcome to Quahog Bruce! Or rather, welcome back!

I Am Legend... In Bed

Glen Quagmire is a fascinating individual - from an anthropology POV anyway... An airline plot and Navy vet, he lives next door to the Griffins and lacks the ability to say no to sex. It is a well-established fact that he is a Sex Addict, and if you need proof of that consider this: he had sex with Meg on the evening of her 18th birthday.

Helpful Hint #4

There is NO order exactly to using this WTG...

What we mean by that is you can do the Quests and, more importantly, build the Buildings and place the objects in any order or quantity you like! Freedom! FREE-dom! Oh yeah!!

For objects or Buildings that are related to Quests that come later in the game all that placing them early does is save you the delay in build time - which is really a bonus if you think about it! So hey, build and place to your heart's content mates!

Choose Your Own Decoration

Now that you have a skilled hand at the entire range of interactions, there are actually only a few minor issues left, one of which is to familiarize you with the In-Game Store and, in particular, the "Featured" Tab which is where you will find the items that they want you to pay special consideration to and purchase!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Choose Your Own Decoration

Place any decoration from the Featured Tab...

For this one most of the decorations cost Clams - but you can place the "Welcome to Quahog" sign for just $250.

Completing this Mission awards you with $225 and 150 XP.

Serious Blockage

Now that the primary tutorial is complete it is time to refresh the basics - starting with clearing land. By the way clearing land -- that is to say seeing to it that the Land Expansion Slots are cleared -- prior to working on the story missions that will unlock the next District is a really good idea.

In fact you should make it a point that ALL of the available Land Expansion Slots are fully cleared and added to the game BEFORE you unlock a new District - to the point that you actually delay doing so while you clear the land. You will read more about this later in the guide, but now is a good time to start to develop that habit. Just saying...

Ham It Up

In addition to finally getting some quality alone-time with Chris Griffin you now get to be intimately acquainted with his appetite and digestion track! Go you!

Ham It Up

Chris is starving and goes to The Founding Father* where he likes eating their large hams... To complete this Quest you will need to help Chris do this Task:

Eat a Large Ham (8h) $80 and 50 XP.

Completing this Quest also rewards you with $75 and 50 XP for Chris.

* Flagging this Quest requires that you have built The Founding Father Restaurant, which you can select from the Buildings Page of the Marketplace.

The Founding Father is a good next building choice; it also appears as part of the requirements for the Clam Juice Quest Line as well so it is not wasted money, time, or effort -- and it adds the character of Bruce to the game who you can then fully unlock!

Did You Know: There is an Achievement associated with this Task? Well there is! That Achievement is called "Make Chris Eat Large Hams 25 Times" (10pts).

Check it out in the Achievements List by tapping the "Grid" shaped button at the bottom of the play screen, then selecting ACHIEVEMENTS from the menu that pops-up. The one you are looking for is in the right-hand column, about the middle of the list.

The points that you earn by unlocking Achievements are an integral element in the Game Center - a pseudo social networking scheme built into iOS devices - so if you are playing on an iOS deck check out the Game Center and you can see the following data:

Me: A summary of your standing and activities.

Friends: A list of all your mates added via Game Center. You can also use Facebook to find Game Center mates as well. Lots of options there!

Games: A list of all of the games you have played that are Game Center aware.

Challenges: A list of all of the challenges your Game Center mates have issued to you!

Turns: Your turn in any Turn-based games you are actively playing via Game Center.

Helpful Hint #5

Premium Content and Characters: Jake and The Church

The final Step in the New Experiences / Tutorial Process is the Premium Content which you can pick and choose from... We went with the cheapest option, the Church and Jake the Upside-down-faced Boy. YMMV...

If you also choose the Church for your experience with Premium Content we want to remind you that the Quest Lines associated with the Premium Character Jake Tucker are found in Part 0 of the Guide.

Cheers!
