This is part of the tutorial section where you are trying to go undercover and checking out Herzog's plans. Anton will be in danger and you’ll be given two choices if you wish to save Anton or not.

Unfortunately, no matter what choice you make, he’ll still pass away. However,t you’ll get a bonus stat for trying to save his life.
