Like all types of Video Games, Detective Pikachu has a very distinct set of controls. These controls varying depending on the area of the game they are used, differing from the Basic Gameplay to when you view your current Case List to even when you piece together the Clues you've found while in your Case Notes in order to solve the case at hand. By mastering all of these different controls, you will quickly become an expert detective yourself.

Basic Controls

Circle Pad: Move (Walk / Run)

D Pad: Move (Walk)

A Button: Talk / Check

X Button: Talk To Pikachu

L Button: Open Case List

R Button: Open Case Notes

Case List Controls

Circle Pad: Select Entry

D Pad: Select Entry

A Button: Select Entry / Open Details

B Button: Return To Previous Page

Y Button: Exit Menu

L Button: Move Cursor Up / Switch Entries

R Button: Move Cursor Down / Switch Entries

Case Notes Controls

Circle Pad: Select Entry

D Pad: Select Entry

A Button: Select Entry / Open Details

B Button: Return To Previous Page
