Case #3: Reveal The PCL Culprit

With Gengar caught, it is now time to reveal who is behind causing Gengar to Attack people and Pokemon at the PCL. In order to do this, you will need to head to the library. Once in the library, you will need to Find the Book that will reveal the symbols of four different books, the same Gengar referenced to earlier with the colors of such. After pulling the last book in the order Gengar hinted at, the bookcase shall reveal a Secret passageway to a hidden room. Once in this hidden laboratory of sorts, you will be able to find a number of different Clues that should help explain a number of different things.

The first Clue is Trevenant's leftovers, found on the one table in this room, the same Trevenant was eating before going berserk. Not too far from it, you will discover another document by John Waals, the same that stats he use to work at the PCL and was trying to create a new medicine from the cells of another creature, the same that ultimately ended up having adverse effects. On the shelf will be another document, one that states how this hidden room was where Secret experiments took place, the same that also mentions Pokemon going berserk. The document names something called R and how it was originally suppose to heal and strengthen Pokemon; however, it doesn't list any possible side effects. This is your first clue as to whether R is causing the Pokemon to go berserk. Furthermore, the entries will describe the past of Gengar and how R is now suddenly being produced.

After basically learning that the substance known as R is what is causing these Pokemon to go berserk, you will also Find another Vial found within this Secret room. After doing so, you will need to head back to the lobby and talk with Rita in order to check the Footage for the library to see who your culprit is. You will see Wallace enter the library earlier, but he is only in there for but a moment. The true culprit entered after Wallace and stayed within the library for an extended amount of time: Carlos. After learning this, you return to the library to reveal that Carlos was the behind making Gengar Attack others. Tim and Pikachu will also explain a Little further about their discoveries of R and the research logs found within the hidden room.
