Question for The Sims 3

Hey I am knda adicted to the sims 3 on pc and one night I saved it then the next day I turned on my computer and tryed to load my hometown and sim. It basicaly all loaded accept for my sim. I can see other sims, cars (moving or parked) houses and your I guess everything but one problem... My sim will not show/load, it's profile wont show, the options down the bottom will not show all I can basicaly do is scroll over things and it's verry annoying. The game is up to date with the uploads and it's extra annoying because I made my sim to look very much like me. I realy don't want to start all over again. Please help! I have tryed taking out the disk and putting it back in, turning my computer off at the power button and back on again, copying my town and loading that one but I still have the same problem! Please help me!

Hey, that happened to me once except I couldn't even move the screen. It really sucks but there is nothing you can do about it. In my file it was my fourth gen and I had to start all over. But you'll prob love your new sim as much as your old. Good luck
