Hey so I just barely bought my sims game like 2 days ago and it was bran never and every thing. Everything I try to put it into my laptop it starts making theses back and forth noises and I can hear the CD spinning and it freaks me out so I take it out. And it stops. The thing is, is that I put my music cd's into my laptop and it works perfectly. Everything goes fine. When the sims 3 game it self is in my laptop. Nothing will pop up. ALl I can hear and see is the noises and I try to go to my computer to see if I can click on the program but it say I need to enter a cd into the laptop but the game is in the drive. It just makes those noises. SO idk what to do, I'm like freaking out. When I put my music cd in, it works. So idk... Can someone help me?do I need a new computer or what?

The same kinda thing happened to me, I just kept trying the disc until it loaded and asked me to 'run' the game. Mine used to make loads of noise too but just ignore it and make sure your laptop is in an upright position so the laser can read the disc! I bought the 'late night' extension pack and so use that disc now and it works absolutely fine!

My disk worked fine until a few days after I brought it. My computer would not even recognize that it was a game disk all of a sudden. It would spin in the drive and make a large racket. Then after a while of trying and trying it began to scratch my disk. Anything I did could not solve the problem so I skipped it and downloaded a cracked Sims 3 but used my code. It worked until a few months later it came up with a "not valid" problem. Haven't solved that one yet.
