Question for The Sims 3

I accidentally split off half my family! My Sims have the lifetime wish to be surrounded by family (raise 5 kids from babies to teenagers). I raised 4 kids then moved them out of the house by going to the town view and "splitting" them off from the family. Now they don't show up on my family tree. I tried to merge them back, but they still don't show up as family. Please help, how can I get them back on my family tree, and have it count to the lifetime wish (as they were raised from baby to teenager?

It is impossible. Make sure you are at your house and choose the option "move" from any of your sims' cell phones. (it does not mean that that particular sim will HAVE to move) However if you want to move the whole family out it is best to do it from edit town.
