It depends, if you like the sims games, then you will probably like it. If you haven't tried any of the sims games yet, I would sudject getting the sims two first before you try the sims three.

I think it is totally worth it. And, if you are a big sims fan, the collector's edition is a pretty good buy (even though the price seems high). For like seventy dollars you get the game ($about 40) a 2GB flash drive ($20) and two free downloads of cars, plus a poster, plus tips/hints from the creators and music downloads.

Yes the game is amazing I went to this convention in Manchester where you got to try the game out. It IS absolutlly amzing so I'm guessing it's worth the amout of money depending on where you are from. Some countries have more expensive prices than others. But yea it's well worth the Price.
Dont worry either even if you are new to the sims it has easy to use panels and controls. So you will love it.

Totally, especially if you have played sims 2, it is faster than sims two and there are more things you can do
