Villager Requests

Speak to the Chief's Son in Moga Village to enter the Stockpile menu and then select “Villager Requests” at the bottom. Fulfilling a request requires Resource Points and items. More requests will become available as you complete more quests.

You can obtain Monster Fluid by carving Altaroth, Bnahabra and Giggi. The easiest way to get this item is by simply farming Giggi in the cave areas of the Deserted Island map, as Altaroth and Bnahabra tend to break apart when killed. If you have a poison weapon (or poison bowgun ammo), you can keep Altaroth and Bnahabra intact by inflicting them with poison and letting the poison kill them.

Altaroth that have large, coloured abdomens may also drop Monster Fluid as a glittering spot when killed.

A Field Trip?

Unlock: Complete “Bug Hunt”

Request: 300 Resource Points, Dung x2, Super-sized Dung x1

It's easiest to obtain Dung as a reward for hunting in Moga Woods. Kill Aptonoth in Moga Woods and there's a high chance you'll receive at least one Dung when you return to the Chief's Son and select “Hunt Report” from the Stockpile menu.

For Super-sized Dung, you must kill a Large Aptonoth in Moga Woods and then receive the item as a reward after reporting back to the Chief's Son. Large Aptonoth will only spawn in Moga Woods during the Herbivore Breeding field condition. To determine when Aptonoth are breeding in Moga Woods, select “Moga Forecast” after speaking to the Chief's Son and look at the Field Conditions section at the bottom. It must read “Herbivore Breeding” next to North, Central or South for Large Aptonoth to spawn. You can look ahead to tomorrow and the day after tomorrow to see what the conditions will be like those days.

Head out to Moga Woods on a day where the field condition is set to Herbivore Breeding and hang around the areas where Aptonoth are. Sooner or later, you'll run into a noticeably larger Aptonoth. Kill the Large Aptonoth (and maybe stick around and kill another just to be sure), then return to the Chief's Son back at the village and turn in your kills.

Look for Cactus Flower in the top-left corner of Area 9 of the Sandy Plains map.

Mine for Earth Crystal in Area 4 of the Deserted Islands map (though Earth Crystal can be found at most mining spots).

Hunt Qurupeco for Qurupeco Feathers.

Carve Kelbi for Warm Pelt.

Carve Giggi for Velvety Hide.

Insecti-pride?

When: Complete “Accident Investigation”

Request: 400 Resource Points, Funky Pheromones x1, Gluehopper x1

Funky Pheromones are a possible reward for killing Bnahabra in Moga Woods. The best way to find Bnahabra in Moga Woods is during the “Insect Swarm” field condition.

You can catch Gluehoppers with a Bug Net in Areas 1, 2, 4 and 10 of the Sandy Plains.

Meaty Mask

Unlock: Complete “Leading the Charge”

Request: 400 Resource Points, Double BBQ Spit x1, Flintstone x1, Fire Herb x3

Double BBQ Spit is a one-star Rare Commodity offered by the Argosy Captain when he's in Moga Village (as long as you've requested he visit the Farmer Realm). You can obtain tradeable Commodity items by killing boss monsters in Moga Woods and then reporting back to the Chief's Son for reward. The Giant Skull commodity is a common reward for killing a Great Jaggi in Moga Woods. Once you have a one-star or greater Rare Commodity, you can then trade it to the Argosy Captain for a Double BBQ Spit.

Flintstones are a common reward at the end of the “Trapping a Trickster” three-star capture quest if Qurupeco's wing flints are broken. Focus your attacks on the Qurupeco's wings until the flints break off, then complete the quest and you may receive a Flintstone on the post-quest reward screen.

Look for Fire Herb in Area 3 of the Sandy Plains and Area 9 of the Flooded Forest.

Super Shroom Box

Unlock: Complete “Accident Investigation”

Request: 500 Resource Points, Monster Fluid x1, Shroom Germ plus x3, Big Fin x1

You can obtain Monster Fluid by carving Altaroth, Bnahabra and Giggi. Kill and carve the Delex in areas 9 and 10 of the Sandy Plains to find a Big Fin.

Honey to Burn

Unlock: Complete “Accident Investigation”

Request: 400 Resource Points, Dash Extract x1, Cactus Flower x2, Bizzy Bees x2

Hunt or catch Royal Ludroth for Dash Extract. You can carve Dash Extract after killing Royal Ludroth or receive it on the post-quest reward screen after killing or capturing. Royal Ludroth may also drop Dash Extract as a glittering spot when his mane is broken.

Look for Cactus Flower in the top-left corner of Area 9 on the Sandy Plains map.

Trade with the Argosy Captain for Bizzy Bees. The captain will have it up for trade as long as you requested he visit the Farmer Realm.

Reward: Level 2 Honey for Moga Farm

Lamp Mask

Unlock: Complete “Dragon Lady”

Request: 500 Resource Points, Flame Sac x1, Gobul Lantern x1, Machalite Ore x4

Carve Rathian or Rathalos for the Flame Sac. You have an eight per cent chance of receiving a Flame Sac when carving Rathian or Rathalos, so you may have to hunt them a few times.

Break Gobul's lantern during “Accident Investigation” and complete the quest to receive a Gobul Lantern on the post-quest reward screen.

Destroying Gobul's lantern is easiest with a Hammer, Great Sword or Switch Axe. The opportune moment to break the lantern is when Gobul has been stunned by certain impact attacks, such as those delivered by a Hammer. Another opportunity may come while facing Gobul underwater. While Gobul is using its vacuum attack -- where it emerges from the seafloor, opens its mouth and attempts to pull your hunter in -- you can swim behind it and hit its lantern.

Mine at any mining spot on the Deserted Island, Flooded Forest or Sandy Plains zone for a chance to receive Machalite Ore.

Field of Dreams

Unlock: Complete “Fell the Lagiacrus!”

Reward: 500 Resource Points, Fertile Mud x2, Super-sized Dung x2, Catalyst x2

Fertile Mud is dropped by Barroth as a glittering spot when the mud covering its body is destroyed or received as a reward on the post-quest reward screen.

Kill Large Aptonoth in Moga Woods and you may receive Super-sized Dung as a reward after reporting back to the Chief's Son. Large Aptonoth only spawn in Moga Woods during the “Herbivore Breeding” field condition. You'll need to kill more than one.

Combine a Bitterbug with Honey to make a Catalyst. Bitterbugs can be caught with a Bug Net on the Deserted Island map and Honey can be gathered in areas 2 and 3.

Calling All Bugs

Unlock: Complete “Fell the Lagiacrus!”

Request: 500 Resource Points, BugMaker! Pro x4, Killer Beetle x3

Trade with the Argosy Captain for BugMaker! Pro. The captain will have BugMaker! Pro up for trade as long as you requested he visit the Farmer Realm.

Killer Beetles can be caught with a Bug Net in areas 2, 4, 7 and 10 of the Flooded Forest.

Reward: Level 3 Insects for Moga Farm

Ancient Mask

Unlock: Complete “Best the Lava Beasts!” and “Heat Exhaustion”

Request: 500 Resource Points, Lagiacrus Scale x2, Sharqskin x1, Pelagicite Ore x4

Hunt Lagiacrus for Lagiacrus Scales.

Carve Sharqs to obtain Sharqskin. The only way to carve a Sharq is to kill it with a Fishing Harpoon. If you attempt to kill a Sharq with a normal weapon it will just swim off and disappear. Start by weakening a Sharq with your normal weapon and then make the killing blow with a Fishing Harpoon after the Sharq swims away. Look for Sharqs in areas 10 and 11 of the Deserted Island.

Pelagacite Ore can be mined at the underwater mining spots in areas 1, 3, 5 and 6 of the Flooded Forest.

Look for the Ancient Mask behind the waterfall in Moga Farm once you've completed this request.

Once you have completed this request, look for the Ancient Mask on the statue behind the waterfall in the bottom-right corner of Moga Farm.

One Chance

Unlock: Complete “A Bard's Tale” and “The Wrath of Rathalos”

Request: 1500 Resource Points, Flabby Hide x2, Rath Talon x2, Machalite Ore x2

Hunt Gigginox for Flabby Hides.

Break Rathalos's or Rathian's wing claws before completing the quest for a chance to receive one or more Rath Talons on the post-quest reward screen.

Mine at any mining spot on the Deserted Island, Flooded Forest or Sandy Plains zone for a chance to receive Machalite Ore.
