Bloodstones can be mined in Areas 4, 5 and 7. They aren't uncommon. Make sure you have five Iron Pickaxes (or, better yet, Mega Pickaxes) in your inventory before setting out on this quest. Take the Map, Rations, Hot Drinks and Torch from the Supply Box.

The large, woolly herbivores in Areas 1 and 2 are Popo. Completing Subquest A requires delivering three Popo Tongues. Popo Tongues can be acquired by killing and carving the Popo. These creatures tend to flee to an adjacent area when their kin are being attacked, so you might have to follow them into Area 3. Continue hunting and carving the Popo in Areas 1 and 2 until you have three Popo Tongues in your inventory.

Use a Torch to light up Area 5.

You must use a Torch to light the four torches in Area 5 to complete Subquest B. To light a torch, stand next to it with your Torch unequipped and equip your Torch when the icon appears by your hunter's head. Light all four torches in Area 5 this way to complete Subquest B.

Continue mining in Areas 4, 5 and 7 until you have eight Bloodstones in your inventory. Return to Base Camp, deposit any subquest items in the Delivery Box first and then the Bloodstones to complete the quest.
