The only way to obtain Mew is to use a Gameshark or AR. The "push the truck over to find a Mew" cheat is a load of rubbish.

There are two ways to catch MEW. You either use a Gameshark or go to this website to catch him. This also works for blue, green, and yellow special Pika Edi.

Haha there is a way......go to Pokemon yellow users cheat codes and there will be some guy telling how to cathc Mew it's not a lie I just got him yesterday rom what he said to do believe me it works but hes only lvl 7 when you get him.....its worth it mines on lvl 16 right now with almost 100 hp!!! Okay there's a very simple method which will get you 2!!!!! Mews!!!!! Im sure you've heard all about finding abra then teleporting just when the trainer sees you (if you haven't then google it). But now after you've teleported, go to misty's gym and fight the first trainer, then walk to nugget bridge. The menu will pop up press b, then catch the first mew. Then, do the teleport trick again when the trainer sees you a second time, then walk to the trainer to the north with the slowpoke. Beat him then walk back, and a second Mew will pop up. I garantee this to work, I've done it countless times.
And here's the really cool thing: you can do the teleport with ANY trainer that sees you as soon as he enters your screen. There's a handful across the map. Then, teleport or fly, and fight any trainer, and you will get some pretty cool rare pokemon. Using the Mew cheat with other trainers besides the two I mentioned above, I've caught level 7 electabuzz, magmar, scyther, chansey, blastoise, arbok, Missingno, hitmonchan, gengar, tangela, pinsir, lapras, nidoqueen, and gyrados!!!! Yes you actually can get evolved versions at level 7! you just have to figure out where your screen will pop up by itself, and walk to there after defeating a trainer. There are several spots, like Nugget bridge, the road from saffron to lavender, and the bike road.
