Question asked by pokemonplayer1 on

Snorlax

Thanks to those who answered my Bulbasaur question, I managed to get him.

But where do I get the Pokeflute to wake up Snorlax, outside the building to the east of Vermillion City?
PLease answer ASAP and thanks to those who help.

OR technically, what am I supposed to do if Snorlax is blocking the way outside the building east of Vermillion City? (if I'm not supposed to get flute)

Make sure first you have a Pokemon with Cut and one with Flash.
If you don't have Cut you'll have to get it off of the Captain on the S.S. Anne. Note: once you leave the ship after helping the Captain the ship will leave, so after that deliberately lose to another trainer. If you don't have Flash you're going to have to go through Diglett's cave. Once you have, go South (down) and enter the first house you see I think. Prof. Oak's AIDE will be in there and if you have atleast 10 Pokemon he'll give you Flash. If he isn't there keep going South and check every building you see.
What you have to do is go East of Cerulean City and follow the route and take out some trainers.
Eventually you come to a point where North (up) leads to a river. Remember this because later when you get Surf you "Surf" this river to the Power Plant. South will lead you to a Pokemon centre. Get a Pokemon with Flash now.
Now enter Rock Tunnel (cave next to Pokemon centre) and get your Pokemon to use Flash because you won't be able to see much at all.
Go through it all and when you have go in a Southernly direction and you'll enter Lavendar Town. At this point you will have to do a lot of stuff, but the general idea is as follows:
Go West (left) and go through the underground passage to Celadon. Get the Celadon Gym badge and so on and so forth. Also there is a secret Rocket HQ in the Game corner. Find it and defeat Team Rocket. Silph Scope might be in the building, but I'm not sure cause you need it to see Ghosts.
Go to the Celadon Department store and go all the way to the top (5th floor) and then there will still be a set of stairs. Go through it to get to the Rooftop and the Vending Machines. Buy 3 drinks and talk to the girl there. She'll give you TMs.
Now buy another one and go East again. Instead of taking the Underground passage again go to the building further East and talk to the guy there. Give him the drink and you'll pass on through to Saffron city. Defeat the Fighting Dojo and then hopefully the entrance to the Silph Co. Building will be open. Defeat the Rockets in there again and Silph Scope might be in this building. Also talk to the Manager of the building and he'll give you a Masterball. Don't use it yet for a long time.
Now go back to Lavendar Town and enter the Pokemon Tower. You should be able to get through it fine. Go right through to the end and Mr. Fuji (who you rescue) will be there. He'll give you the Pokemon Flute to wake up sleeping Pokemon and all of them including in battle.

how to go in

Guest answered:

You do need a Pokéflute and the only way to do that is by defeating Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town. First go to Lavender Town by getting to Cerulean City, going through the robbed house, defeating a Rocket, going through a path on the right of the screen, going through that route, going through Rock Tunnel, and traveling down that route. You will now enter a town that (if you play with sound on) has creepy music. Continue right and travel through that route. Go through an underground tunnel and get to Celadon City. You will need your strongest Pokémon for this. Go to the Game Corner, find a guy that is blocking a poster, and defeat the Rocket (a.k.a. The poster guarding guy). Press the poster (a switch is behind it) and go up the stairs. Travel through that place and talk/defeat everybody in there. Talk to each one after defeating them. Once you get so far, you will get a guy telling you where the boss is (a.k.a. Giovanni). You will get farther then and find a guy whom after battle has an item ball behind him and says "Oh no! I dropped the Lift Key!" and he says that no matter what. Grab the Lift Key. Go into an elevator and travel to the highest point. You will now defeat Jesse and James' Pokémon, including Meowth. Now they will disappear after battle and you will travel up to a surrounded space with a table and person in it. That would be Giovanni. Defeat him. He will then disappear leaving an item ball behind him. ¡Voila! You have gotten the Silph Scope. Use an Escape Rope and you will be out of the Team Rocket HQ. Now go back to Lavender Town and defeat the Pokémon Tower. You will battle Jesse and James once more! Now go to the guy at the top of the room. He will take you to his house and present the Pokéflute to you. Now go wake up the Snorlax by the Cycling Road Entrance (building) in Celadon City by standing next to it and playing the Pokéflute. You may catch him. He is Lv. 30. He is not worthless and has a Headbutt, an Amnesia, and a Rest (a healing move) move that it has learned. Now go through the building. Defeat at least one person. Now go back and find another building side entrance like the one you just came from and go into that. It will be just slightly above the old Snorlax you had caught. Now go through and go to the house at the other side. Talk to that girl and receive HM02: Fly. Teach it to Bird Pokémon in your party. Use Fly and go to Vermillion City. Go to the Snorlax and play the Pokéflute. All set. Hope you found this long answer useful if you haven't fpund one useful yet at all.
