Dance of the Dead Hope Ahazuya Gray (Upper Body) Slay Calamity Horde x5

Head to Naraku’s 3rd Stratum. Disaster Hordes appear as red Demons in Naraku’s 3rd Stratum and they appear in fixed areas. Since the area is small, it shouldn’t be a problem for you to find all five of them. Be careful since unlike other red demons, these are aggressive and will probably catch you off guard if you’re not careful. Their spawn locations are pre-determined and somewhat triggered in order. I have abandoned this Quest once and decided to try it again. Their spawn points and the order are basically the same. Refer to the map below. X1 is their first spawn point, then X2 and so on.

Their attacks are not to taken lightly, especially when they can attack twice per turn and that their normal attacks hit 2-3 times. They can also poison your party members and deal high damage to multiple party members. The horde is weak against Gun attacks so use it to your advantage.

Tip: There is a bazooka that you can buy in Ueno Station that can hit multiple targets in one shot. You can use it to your advantage here.

After defeating four hordes, I suggest going back to the surface and rest to fully replenish your party’s health. After defeating the 5th horde, a special demon called David will appear and engage your party.

LV19 David

Weak: Elec

Resist: Ice, Fire, Light

Null: Dark

It will use Pulinpa and Mamudo quite often, which can be problematic if you’re low on healthy Demons and your MP is depleted. It’s Blight attack can also deal over 100 damage to all your party members. It will help bringing in a demon that can nullify Dark attacks since this can cause David to lose his press icons. My star player here is a LV18 Holy demon called Apis. Though it’s weak against dark attacks, it’s skill Tetraja will be your ace against David’s annoying Mamudo . Since Apis’ MP is low, I compensated it by inheriting the Spirit Drain skill from one of its parent demons.

After using Tetraja and gaining additional press turns, I use spirit drain to replenish a good chunk of MP to Apis. This allowed me to use Tetraja every turn. Its effect will remain until the enemy uses an insta-kill Light or Dark attack. In this battle, for every turn I used Tetraja, David used Mamudo. My team blocks the attack, making David lose all his remaining press turn icons and I got to repeat my pattern until he is defeated.

The only demon I have found with Spirit Drain is Suparna, if you used that who was the other parent for the fusion, otherwise who were both parents?
