Challenge Quest | Client | Reward | Task |
Corpse Disposal | Ashura-kai Shinjuku Branch | Succulent Pork x1 | Slay Corpses x 7 |
After accepting this job, you have to head to the Shinjuku’s East Entrance. To reach it, enter the first alley to the north outside the Shinjuku Hunter Association. You have to accept this Challenge Quest first for the Gruff Man that’s blocking the path to let you through.
Once outside, you have to scour the place to locate the red special Demons and engage these corpses to battle. You have to defeat all 7 of them without leaving the area to complete this Quest. The entire district is composed of four smaller areas that you need to explore. Use the area’s open space to avoid unnecessary common encounters. The first target is located to the northwest.
LV25 Corpses
Weak: Fire
Resist: Light
Null: Gun, Ice, Dark
Use fire-Skills to deal with them. They only have around 650HP so expect them to go down quickly.
Scour the area for relics and other items. When done, head to the northeast to find an exit leading to Kabuki-cho.
Note: The relic door to the northeast corner of East Entrance Main Street leads to a demon domain guarded by a LV27 Brute Sui-Ki. Defeating it will yield a Corked Bottle, a valuable item needed for another Quest later on. Defeating this demon at the moment is entirely optional. Head to the next area to the north when ready.
LV27 Sui-Ki
Weak: Fire
Repel: Ice
There are two Corpses in this area. The first one is located straight ahead in the middle while the other one is located directly to the east, near the stairs leading down to the Kabuki-cho Passage. Don’t go down there yet; instead, you can go around the wormwood barrier and destroy it from the other side to clear the path. Exit to the eastern street to reach the next area.
This area has two more Demons and several pitfall traps that you need to be careful off. These traps won’t damage you but will allow any roaming demon to pounce at you while you’re helpless. One Corpse is located on the rooftop of the nearby building. To get to it, go up then right to find a ladder on the side of the building. Climb it and you should find the corpse there.
The last corpse in the area is located at ground level in the southwest corner of the map. You can check the rooftops of the next building to find a Friendly Hunter looking for some Heavenly Steak and a hunter corpse that you can loot. After defeating the corpse, you can now leave the area and go back to Kabuki-cho. From there, take the stairs to the east leading to Kabuki-Cho Passage.
This is just a rather small, straightforward path that leads to the next area. There’s a room here with two suspicious men so just ignore them.
This area has the last two corpses that you need to deal with. One is located straight ahead in the middle of the street and the last corpse is found in the southwestern corner of the map. Save your game before defeating the last Corpse since a boss will appear afterward.
LV25 Ghost Dullahan
Weak: Elec, Light
Resist: Phys
Null: Dark
If you have a demon that can use Hama (light-based, instant kill attack) or its higher level and higher chance variants, you can use that to immediately end the battle. Otherwise, you have to whittle down Dullahan’s 1000+HP. Use Elec attacks to get extra turns. This boss uses Dark attacks and Blight which deals damage to all members of the party and has the chance to poison them. Keep your party healed and you should be able to take it out without too much trouble. At the end of the battle, you have the option to spare Dullahan or not. Finishing her off will increase your Alignment towards Law while sparing her will increase your alignment towards Chaos.
Completing this Quest will also update the main quest “Capture the Black Samurai”. Clear the area by looting all relics and destroying all wormwood barriers. Return to the underground district afterward to replenish your supplies and party’s health then take more quests.
