Burroughs is a sprite that resides in the player's gauntlet, which also acts as the gauntlet's AI. She provides assistance in any possible means but providing the player necessary details and information. Burroughs' most important function is allowing the player to purchase Apps.

These apps are purchased using App points, which can be earned primarily by Leveling Up. The player earns 10 app points upon level up. Since you can only buy some much apps by level grinding, you can earn App points from the following alternate methods below:

  • Obtaining 10 or 20-point cards in the main game or DLC

  • One-time 40 App points gained by streetpassing someone with Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titans

  • One-time 40 App points gained by streetpassing someone with Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers
