Poke Pelago makes a return during your second adventure throughout The Alola Region, becoming available to all players after defeating Captain Kiawe's Trial. This is where you can use the Pokemon from your PC Boxes by having them help you play little games to find a variety of Pokemon, Items, Berries, and more. You can access Poke Pelago at anytime after Kiawe's Trial by clicking on the option on your lower-screen menu. Poke Pelago is run by the Character Mohn, who will help you develop the Island, which is broken up into five different Isles, in order to get more features. Poke Pelago is made up by Isle Abeens, Isle Aplenny, Isle Aphun, Isle Evelup, and Isle Avue, and it is these given islands that put the Pokemon in your Boxes to good use.
One of the main features of Poke Pelago are Poke Beans. These are obtained in Poke Pelago and can be used to further boost the effects within it, as well as being fed to your Pokemon in Pokemon Refresh. Mohn will help you develop your islands, as well as exchange Special Poke Beans for standard ones. Patterned Beans can be exchanged for 3 Poke Beans, while Rainbow Poke Beans can be traded for 7 Poke Beans. You can also, once per day, send out a Bean Bottle to the internet. This will put 7 Poke Beans out and distribute them across the internet to other players, and you will sometimes find a Bean Bottle from other players when playing Poke Pelago.
When you use your Poke Beans in Poke Pelago, they only last for a given amount of time. Each crate on each island can hold up to 20 (Level 1), 30 (Level 2), or 50 (Level 3) Poke Beans for you. Each Poke Bean lasts but for 20 minutes, but Patterned Beans last for an hour and Rainbow Beans last for 2 hours. In addition to this, the effects and yield of each island increases as you level each isle up, allowing more items to appear with higher leveled islands.
