How To Defeat Totem Ribombee

Thank you for printing this page from Remember to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for Pokemon Ultra Moon

Out of all the New Totem Pokemon, Totem Ribombee has to be the easiest one you will face. Even if it receives a boost to all of its stats at the beginning of the battle and is holding a berry to weaken Fire Type Attacks, Ribombee can easily be defeated in just one move (even before calling upon help from the likes of Blissey). In order to do this, you will need to lead with a Pokemon that can unleash a Physical Poison, Rock or Steel Type Z Move. That's all it takes to defeat Ribombee.

If you can't do such a thing, Fire, Poison, Rock and Steel Type Atatcks are still the way to go in order to defeat Totem Ribombee. Once it calls Blissey into play, you will have to focus on it with Physical Type Attacks, specifically Fighting Type ones. Even though the Hawlucha you can trade for so early in your journey on Route 2 is perfect for this very thing, Ribombee would most likely defeat it in one shot before it could even get its hands of Blissey. Definitely stick with Fire Types, as Ribombee can't do a thing to them.
