Description: The Surface Area is the first location that a player will explore with Samus. Here, a player can learn the ropes of using Samus in her Battle Suit as they defeat the first set of enemies found on the planet. The Surface area has two main objectives: finding and learning to use the Morph Ball and Charge Beam. Within the entire Surface Area, there are 3 Missile Expansions, 2 Super Missile Expansions, 1 Energy Tank, 1 Aeion Tank, 1 Power Bomb Tank, and 2 Weapons; however, not all will be able to be found at this stage in the game. There is also one Metroid that must be defeated.
