Large Main Room

Walkthrough: Back in the main room of Area 5, there are quite a few things you can do. On the left side of the room is a Save Station, below it is a Super Missile Expansion and above it is a Missile Expansion. Above that is Teleportation Statue, as well as another Missile Expansion in the top left corner. There is a Super Missile Expansion at the very top of the room, including an Energy Tank and Aeion Recharge Station near it.

At the top left corner of the room is a door, which leads to secondary room and then a lava room that both require the Space Jump. The last room in this chain is a Gamma Metroid. After defeating it, return to the main room. Head to the bottom right side and open the door that requires a charged-shot, which has an Energy Recharge Station within it. Head to the right in this room and start heading upward. You'll quickly find another Missile Expansion, as well as the Gamma Metroid at the very top of the room.

Missile Expansion #1: Directly above the Save Station is an area blocked by a few weak points. Use your Screw Attack on them, and the Expansion will be found on the right.

Missile Expansion #2: Use your Space Jump or Spider Ball to find weak blocks in the top left corner of the main room to find the hidden Expansion.

Missile Expansion #3: Just before finding the second Gamma Metroid, Bomb the weak points on the wall to the right. Drop down from there and use your Beam Burst to destroy the Eggs and find the final Expansion.

Super Missile Expansion #1: On the left side of the Main Room, go into the water at the bottom. Go through the passageway and use your Burst Beam to destroy the giant flower. Use your Grapple Beam to continue through, and then use your Spider Ball on the ceiling to avoid the weak floor below. You quickly come to the Expansion.

Super Missile Expansion #2: At the very top of the main room is a small path blocked by another group of weak blocks, the same that can be destroyed by your Screw Attack. Do this to get the Expansion.

Energy Tank: Enter the room that has the green barrier around it near the top of the main room. Use your Grapple Beam to pull Samus to the right. Here, you'll find the Energy Tank.
