Did you know that by merely doing a successful counter, you will get the chance at some extra Aeion Energy? If that's not enough, you will earn even more Aeion Energy if you kill an enemy directly after countering a foe. This alone can help Samus continuously have Aeion Energy for her Aeion Abilities, which is needed more times than not. If that isn't enough of incentive to counter often, you actually will need to counter foes early in Story Mode in order to defeat them.
