Walkthrough: Within Area 3 are two main Elevators to other areas, start by going in the East (right) Elevator. After you do, start by going down passed the Elevator directly below you, leading you to an Aeion Tank. After going through the door on the right of the Elevator Room, head straight down. Once you reach the crystal platforms, drop down to the left and enter the door you come to. Follow through from room to room until you find the next Teleportation Statue. Now that you know where it is, head by to the crystal platforms. Drop down to the right after you do to find an Energy Recharge Station.

Enter the door to the right of the Energy Station, and then drop down until you reach the next door. Heading downward, go through the door on the right and head through the tunnels. A vent will prevent you from Bombing the weak point you find, so continue to the next room. Jump up and use a Grapple Beam to swing to the the next path found in the top right corner. Follow this to find the next Save Station. From there, drop into the lower room and use the Wave Beam to open the door on your left.

Use your Grapple Beam to reach the hallway in the top left corner, and you'll find a room that contains a Gamma Metroid. After doing a certain amount of damage to it, it will retreat back to the previous room. Follow it each time it runs, as you must destroy it. After defeating it, go back to the room with the Save Station, and this time, go to the right of the Save Station. Use your Grapple Beam to avoid the water below, and then head through the door just beyond the Ammo Recharge Station.

Follow the path and you'll come across a swarm of insects, but they can easily be defeated with the Burst Beam. From there, drop down into the area with more water, finding the next Aeion Station as you do. Keep moving right and you'll find a door that needs a charged shot in order to be opened. After opening said door, avoid the lava as best as you can. Eventually, use the Grapple Beam to get to the center platform. Use your Spider Ball to then get around it, and then use your Grapple Beam again. Continue upward using the Grapple Beam, swinging your way into the next area. From there, Spider Ball up the ceiling to reach a small passageway that leads to the another Alpha Metroid.

After destroying it, return to the previous Save Station and grab onto the ledge just to the left of the Save Station. Use the Lightning Armor to move through the poisonous flora, and then use the Spider Ball to move up the wall you come to. Roll right through the weak block and Bomb to find a hiding Gamma Metroid. Once defeated, exit through the Elevator that first brought you to this area.

Aeion Tank: After getting off of the East Elevator, head to the passageway on the right which reach another puzzle room. Enter inside and go through until you come to red glowing orb. Use your Grapple Beam to grab it and give it a pull. Return to the Elevator Room and go through the door on your left. You'll quickly come to a weak spot on the right wall. Bomb it, enter the Puzzle Room, and grab the next red orb with your Grapple Beam. Return to the original Puzzle Room through the Elevator Room to finish the puzzle and reach the Aeion Tank.

Energy Tank: As you head to the Metroid through the lava room, you'll find a door that needs a charged shot in order to be opened. Directly below it is the Energy Tank. Bomb the weak block to the left to find a hallway underneath the room. Bomb the next weak point to reach the Energy Tank.
