This DLC takes place in Alaska. First you have to locate the Outcast Outpost, which is an entirely new area added to the map. The simulation itself has Health and Ammo Dispensers, unique weapons, armor and surroundings.. Read on if that sparked your interest!
The DLC is remarkably easy and is probably even best done with a new character to get the most benefits from all rewards.
Note: Completing the Operation Anchorage with a new character is perfectly doable and perhaps even recommended. You will go from Level 2 to Level 7 if you do everything correctly, and the quest grants many rewards.

Operation Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta are all add-on packs, but are available with Fallout 3; Game of the Year Edition. They have to be installed seperately and are all on disc 2.
I would like to know if operation anchorage is on regular fallout 3?
My Richard Dylan Gates and I am having alot of trouble trieing to find DLC OPERATION ANCHORAGE on Fallout 3.I just want to know if I need the regular Fallout 3 or Fallout 3 Broken Steel to find the outcast distress singnal and the outcast outpost or outcast base I don't know.If you know anything about it please tell me because I am having a hard time with finding it.A guy said enter a city and exit a city wait a few minutes.
