Character Skill Trees

Each of the four main characters in the game have their own skill sets which complements their fighting style and abilities. Though it is a fact that they can use all weapons, they will become more efficient zombie-killing machines by making them use their preferred weapon class.

As you earn experience and level up, you'll gain skill points that you can allocate to the any of your character's three skill trees: Fury, Combat and Survival. Fury contains enhancements to the character's signature moves. Once enough Rage is accumulated, a character can unleash special Fury moves to turn the tide of battle which makes it invaluable during tight situations. Combat is where you'll find weapon and combat-related enhancements. You can specialize in certain weapon types and even increase their effectiveness, durability, stamina costs, etc. Survival skill contains upgrades that will help make your life a bit easier as you get by on the island. This tree has very helpful upgrades such as increased backpack slots, damage mitigation, experience boosts, increasing the amount of money found, lowering maintenance costs, stamina boosts and enhanced durability for weapons to name a few. Take note that some of these upgrades has three ranks, enabling you to further increase the bonuses received from these enhancements.

You can only earn one skill point per level. Since the max level a character can attain is 50, you can only get 49 skill points (you start with 0 SP at LV1). This feature in the game will allow you to mold your character as you see fit. I strongly recommend getting the best upgrades in each tree or skills that complement the build you’re trying to achieve.

This section will tackle the skill trees of each character and may help you decide what skills to get for your character.
