Thank you for printing this page from www.SuperCheats.com. Remember to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for Forza Motorsport 6

Right so, before we get to career mode, there are some basic points we should probably cover, because even if you are not yet an Achievement Whore, you will be by the time you get this deep into the game and learn just how important they are.

What are we talking about?

The sad truth is that out there in the wilds of Xbox LIVE you are going to find that a LOT of players will pre-judge you based solely on what Achievements you have unlocked, and what your Achievement Score is. And we are not talking about just for FM6 either.

Believe it or don't but a lot of players place significance on your status in terms of your Achievements. How much you have played, and how well you play is often revealed by your Achievements and G Score.

That really is not fair for newbies - we know - but it is what it is - so we thought that the least we could do was help you boost that score and count if you are light as a newbie, and boost it quick if you are an established veteran who just wants to get that part of the process out of the way.

So here, BEFORE we really dig into Career Mode and races, we are going to grind out the mostly optional Achievements because, as difficult as this may be to believe, there is a certain element of the online racing community that will not only respect you for doing it, but presume things about you that may not be true.

Things like the presumption that you are an established player with some skills simply because you unlocked the optional straight away BEFORE you started to unlock the career mode stuff. Yeah, we know, makes no sense, but there you go.

If you want to be able to get easier invites to online sessions, it would be an idea to do this. We are just saying... So with that in mind, let's start grinding out some Optionals!

Special Assist vs.Tedium

Having barely scratched the surface in terms of optional Achievement unlocking you can color us shocked and very disturbed at the volume of vociferous email raising the issue received in just a few days - the contents of which pretty much mirror the following sentiments that I actually am quoting from one such email as an example:

"Dood WTF?! Boosting gamerscore like you describe is totally a good idea but wuff! Doing it requires like hours and hours of repetitive game play time?! How the heck do I do that without the fickle finger of boredom attacking me in the soft-and sensitive spots normally concealed by my regulation tighty-whities?!"

The above quoted message was received from a sailor in the US Navy - not sure if that explains the choice of colorful phraseology or not? But still never allow it to be said that we, the Staff Writers of SuperCheats, failed to answer the clarion call of a sailor in distress!

Oh, and in case you are not familiar with the phrase "ttighty-whities" (we were not) a brief consultation of the ever useful Urban Dictionary reveals that that phrase is a synonym for men's "brief" style of underwear that in addition to being worn for there support purposes,

The new Mod System may be the shrewdest invention in the series - ever!

Our answer to all of those laps and miles? Audio Books. Seriously. Checked out the third book from the Game of Thrones Series and zap! Bam! Pow! Finished! We recommend it!

Pick a car you like and do 6-Lap Races on Indianapolis until you unlock this by leading the pack until the meter hits 100 miles total.

18. Modified (15g)

Finish first with all Mod Types equipped.

Spend some money on Mod Packs so that you get a set of one of each type that will compensate for the Dare and still allow for a predictable win, then set up a six-Lap race at Indianapolis, pick the car you like, and run the race to win.

When you cross the line it will unlock this Achievement.

1975 FIAT X1/9
1975 FIAT X1/9

19. Rain Dancer (10g)

Complete 50 Laps in the Rain in Multi-Player.

For this one you will need to enter Multi-Player then create a Private Match. Select Brands Hatch GP with the weather set to Rain, then change the Laps to 50.

When you cross the finish line after the 50th lap you will unlock the Achievement - which was half of the point - the other half was the doing of it itself. The idea being that by the time you complete these fifty laps you will have fully mastered rain driving. And well done you!

20. Nightvision (10g)

Complete 50 Laps at Night in Multi-Player.

Enter Multi-Player and create a Private Match, then select the Daytona Tri-Oval (or a track you prefer) with the time set to Night. Change the Laps to 50 and start the race. When you cross the line for the final lap this will instantly unlock.

21. Gaining Experience (10g)

Complete 100 Laps in Multi-Player

Completing the Nightvision Achievement will automatically unlock this Achievement.

22. Home Field (10g)

Use a Track Specialist Crew Mod on the corresponding Track.

Sort through your Mods collection to find a Crew Mod that applies to a specific track. Select that Track as your race circuit, then be sure to apply that Mod to your car. Simply win the race to unlock this Achievement.

23. Digging Gold (25g)

Equip a Gold level Badge.

Assuming that you have the Long Haul Badge applied to your character you will have completed the requirements for the Gold Level Badge by this point, and so this one will unlock.

24. Record Breaker (25g)

Go Faster than 240mph in any car.

This is actually pretty easy to unlock though you may see other racers complain about it online. All that you really need to do is this: select the 2011 Bugatti Veyiron as your car, then go into the quick upgrade menu and it will upgrade to Category P 931. That is it.

Now select a track like Daytona Tri-Oval which gives you a very nice almost perfectly straight runway to get up to speed and bam! Instant rocket!

After the race ends this will unlock.

25. Kickback (10g)

Earn 100% Credit bonus from Mods in a single race

As you level up your driver you get a free Spin each time as you work your way towards Level 24 for the Spin-related Achievement - one result of this being the acquisition of a fair amount of Cr. that you can then use to purchase the various Mod Packs - which you want to do.

For the purposes of this Achievement we are looking for a particular Mod Card called "Superior Payout" which is a Green, Single-Use, Boost Mod. The Superior Payout Boost Card will add +60% to the Cr. you are paid out for the race that you use it on.

The requirements for this Mod-focused Achievement is to complete the race earning at least a 100% Cr. Bonus from the Mods for a single race. Apply the Superior Payout Mod Card to your Car. Note that this is an Rare Mod Card.

Now look through your Purple "Dare" Mod Cards to find an Unlimited Use Card called "Perfectionist" whose description is Simulated Damage on and Rewinds off. Hit the objectives to earn +50% CR. Note that this is a Super Rare Mod Card.

Note: You can combine this Achievement with the Home Field Achievement by adding a Crew Mod Card (Blue Mod Card) that specifically applies to the track you are using to unlock this. If doing so that means you will be using one of each type of Mod Card - Green, Blue, and Purple, and that will unlock the Modified Achievement (for finishing first with all Mod Types equipped).

Max Affinity Level Achieved

When you hit Affinity Level 25 for any one manufacturer that is the Maximum Affinity Level for that Manufacturer, and you will trigger a pop-up awarding you a Super Rare Blue Crew Mod Card called Crew Chief that has Unlimited Use and offers you +12% Grip, +50% Credits.

If you have already unlocked this one it is a good choice for the Crew Mod Card slot. Just saying.

Now in Free Play select a track and Lap Count that you are very confident you can run and come in first place with. It is important that you win this race if you are going for all three of the related Mod-based Achievements, so try to pick a race on a track you are good at, giving yourself sufficient Laps to ensure a first place finish.

Just run the race - and WIN! After you cross the finish line the race results will tally up, and you will unlock the Achievements that apply - at a minimum that would include this Achievement - Kickback.

If you have any doubts it would be an idea to do a few test runs with the Dare Card equipped (since that one can be used over and over) to familiarize yourself with its effects and requirements as well as results.

We found that 6-Laps on the Brickyard Oval at Indianapolis worked really well, but YMMV.

1940 Ford De Luxe Coupe
1940 Ford De Luxe Coupe

26. World Traveler (50g)

Complete a Race on Every Location (Environment) in Multi-Player

To unlock this all that you really need to do is to create a private Multi-Player race, then simply work your way through every track in the game with the Laps set to 1. Remember this is for completing and not winning the races.

Note that working your way to unlocking this Achievement also applies to other Achievements like Devoted Racer, Racking up the Mileage, and making your way towards the Going Platinum Achievement as well.

For this Achievement be sure to pick a car from the manufacturer you are working on capping Affinity for.

To unlock this you will need to complete a 1-Lap race on the following:

  • Alps Festival (3.63 mi)

  • Bathurst (3.86 mi)

  • Brands Hatch GP (2.43 mi)*

  • Catalunya GP (2.89 mi)

  • COTA GP (3.42 mi)

  • Daytona Tri-Oval (2.50 mi)*

  • Hockenheimring (2.84 mi)

  • Indianapolis GP (2.44 mi)

  • Sonoma Full (2.52 mi)

  • Leguna Seca (2.24 mi)

  • Le Mans La Sarthe (8.48 mi)

  • Lime Rock Full (1.50 mi)

  • Long Beach Full (1.97 mi)

  • Monza Full (3.60 mi)

  • Nurburgring Full (16.15 mi)

  • Prague Full (3.51 mi)

  • Rio Full (3.83 mi)

  • Road America (4.05 mi)

  • Road Atlanta (2.54 mi)

  • Sebring Full (3.70 mi)

  • Silverstone GP (3.19 mi)

  • Circuit de Spa (4.35 mi)

  • Top Gear Full (1.75 mi)

  • Watkins Glen Full (3.37 mi)

  • Yas Marina Full (3.45 mi)

  • Airfield Circuit (1.74 mi)

Note that there is a known bug for this Achievement - that can freeze progress at 96%. If that happens you will need to wait for the official fix patch to arrive before it will unlock.

* If you have been following this guide you will already have raced these in Multi-Player.

27. Devoted Racer (20g)

Complete 300 Laps in Multi-Player.

For this you will need to put out a bit of effort - but working towards it will also work towards the next Achievement - Racking up the Mileage.

Pick an oval track - the Brickyard or Tri-Oval - then set it for 50 Laps and pick a fast car and have at it.

Pursuing this Achievement will net you a considerable amount of XP and Affinity as well as rewards, and a fair amount of Cr. for buying Mod Packs!

When you reach the 300th Lap this will unlock.

1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe
1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe

28. Going Platinum (40g)

Equip a Platinum level Badge.

You will unlock this before you get to the 300 Laps for the previous Achievement.

29. Racking up the Mileage (20g)

Drive for 1000 miles in Multi-Player

Completing these 1000 miles is the final major task in Multi-Player for you. When you finish the race and begin to tally the results, the Achievement will unlock.

30. Collecting the Checks (10g)

Earn 50,000 Credits from Drivatars.

This one will unlock over time, but assuming you are playing every day and you have an active group of mates playing the game as well, it should not take you very long at all to unlock this one!

To put this in perspective for you, a sampling of our modest Drivatar Rewards so far equals:

  • 9/27/15 x3 Races = 3,060 Cr. (Total = 18,045 Cr.)

  • 9/27/15 x9 Races = 4,410 Cr. (Total = 14,985 Cr.)

  • 9/22/15 x3 Races = 3,150 Cr. (Total = 10,575 Cr.)

  • 9/19/15 x2 Races = 3,645 Cr. (Total = 7,425 Cr.)

  • 9/19/15 x4 Races = 3,780 Cr. (Total = 3,780 Cr.)

As you can easily see for just 3 days of racing by my mates, my Drivatar has earned 18,045 Cr. with just 31,955 left to go! At this rate in less than 2 weeks (if that) this Achievement will be unlocked, and how cool is that?

31. Working Artist (10g)

Share a Paint

This one is easily unlocked simply by creating a design and sharing it with the community. However if you already HAVE a design created in either Forza Horizon 2 or Forza Motorsport 5 you can import that into FM6, apply its elements to create a new FM6 design, and share that!

When you are happy with your design simply save and share it to unlock this Achievement. When sharing it be sure to give it a distinct keyname so it is easy to find if you are going to post its name to one of the boards to help boost the downloads.

For example my Royal Australian Air Force Staff Car Livery Design from Forza Motorsport 5 was very popular despite the fact that I made it for the Ford Focus - so this time around I chose a more popular car model, the Volkswagen 2011 Scirocco S as that will likely lead to far more popular an application. And it is a rather striking design if I am saying so myself!

After creating the design, I shared that to the design center / store in FM6 so that when any racer buys a 2011 Scirocco there is a very good chance that my Staff Car design will be one of the choices that they get in the first two pages of possible livery designs! Of course the more racers who select it, the more popular it will be rated, and the more likely it will be to appear.

So if you like, you can download and apply it and I will get credited for each of you who does that. To download and apply the design for a 2011 Volkswagen Scirocco that you are buying new, just look in the sample livery designs pages that pop up.

To obtain my design for a 2011 Sciricco you already own, simply load the game then go to the Tunes Page and select the Get Tunes Box.

32. Working Tuner (10g)

Share a Tune

Since I already created the 2011 Volkswagen Scirocco RAAF Staff Car Livery Design, it made sense to also do a few minor tweaks to the car to set up up for a more perfect City Driving experience, right? So I shared it as RAAF Staff Car but you may find it easier to simply follow me - RECNEF - as a Tuner and Designer if you like. I am just saying!

With this modest Tune created, all that is required is for us to hit the Save & Share Option from the small menu and voila! Mischief Managed!

33. Cashing In (20g)

Earn 50,000 Credits from the community using your Design.

The rewards scheme for making it worthwhile to create designs is really very simple as it applies to the Achievements - payments from the community take the following forms:

  • Design Download = 500 Cr. Reward.

  • Design Like = 1000 Cr. Reward.

  • Design Use = 100 Cr. Reward.

Basically for each gamer who downloads one of your designs - assuming that they also both Use and Like it - you will earn 2,000 Cr. in total initially (that's 500 Cr. for the Download, 1,000 Cr. for the Like, and the 5 races that they had to use your design in before being prompted to "Like" it. Simple enough, right? Yes, and the more that they race it, the more you earn!

There you have it - you do the same, and you will rapidly unlock this one where a LOT of other online MP racers will not!

1975 Ford Bronco
1975 Ford Bronco

34. Making a Name (20g)

Earn 50,000 Credits from the community using your Tune.

The rewards scheme for Tuning is pretty much the same as that for Designs - you create your Tune and then be sure to let all your mates know what its keyword is - and ask them to "Follow" you as a Tuner and Designer in the game.

They then DL your Tunes and apply them to the appropriate whip, and voila! Easy-Peasy-Lemon-Squeezy! Dexter would be proud!

But yeah, the rewards scheme for Tunes is as follows:

  • Tune Download = 500 Cr. Reward.

  • Tune Like = 1000 Cr. Reward.

  • Tune Use = 100 Cr. Reward.

To obtain my Tune Setup for your 2011 Sciricco you already own, simply load the game then go to the Tunes Page and select the Get Tunes Box.find my "RAAF Staff Tune" and hit the 'Y' button in order to "Follow" me as a Tuner and Designer to make it easier to find my stuff later.

There you have it - you do the same, and you will rapidly unlock this one where a LOT of other online MP racers will not!

35. Unrivaled (20g)

Beat 10 Rivals while running no Assists

Unlocking THIS one is actually a LOT easier than you might have thought, largely because the game will actually do most of the work for you in terms of finding you the Rival Matches!

To get started on this simply open the main menu in-game, select the Message Center, then the RIVALS Tab, and start taking out the Rivals that the game has thoughtfully presented here, for you!

To accomplish the 10 wins you simply have to meet the required criteria, which is to turn off all of the Assists before you race them! Ideally you want to beat them, but try not to beat them by much - ten seconds is fine - that way you can re-race them if you find that one of the Rivals / Tracks is easier for you than some of the others!

Once you get the ten victories that are required for this it will automagically unlock!

36. Speaking Up (5g)

Vote for a track in Multiplayer

During Multi-Player Online Play simply enter your vote for the next track/event your group will take on to unlock this Achievement.

37. You Shouldn't (20g)

Finish first in a 24 car race using the Manual Transmission Dare Mod

As with the other Mod based Achievements, unlocking this one requires you to have actually collected the special Mod Card that is required in order to do this one. So, simply follow these directions:

1. Obtain the Purple Dare Mod Card titled: "Manual Shifting" which is found inside the Superior Pack (the $50K One);

2. Select the Free Play Race Menu;

3. Change the game options and settings as follows: Max Drivatars = 23 / Drivatar Difficulty = New Racer / Limit Drivatar Aggression = On / Collision Mode: Always Off;

4. Depending on the track you are using, you want Laps set to either 3 or 4. Basically which one you use depends on how long it takes you, on average, to get into first place;

5. Pick a fast car that you are comfortable driving;

6. Pick the Track you feel you know best - generally the ovals work good - like at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and/or Daytona. At Indy choose "The Brickyard Speedway" and at Daytona the “Tri-Oval”;

7. Configure the Assists Settings to meet your preferences;

8. Equip your Mods. At a minimum you will need to equip the Purple Mod Dare Card called “Manual Shifting” for this Achievement;

9. Race and win and this will unlock.

2000 Ford SVT Cobra R
2000 Ford SVT Cobra R

First Attempt

Because we did not actually own or have a "Manual" Dare Mod Card -- but we DID possess the Manual with Clutch Dare Mod Card, we thought to ourselves, "Hey man, nothing ventured nothing gained!" Right?

In the process of giving that venture a go though, we learned some very valuable lessons! For instance, if you are not used to driving with a manual transmission - and we admit that for the most part that would pretty much accurately describe us - learning the shifting characteristics for whatever car you happen to be using for this challenge is equal parts intuition and timing...

Another lesson that we learned is that "close" really does only count in horse shoes and hand grenades!

That is right, even though the Dare Mod Card we used specifically restircts your car to using a manual transmission, the facts are that the game is not looking for a Dare Card labeled "Manual with Clutch" it is in fact looking for a Dare Mod Card that says "Manual" and, like the proverbial Honeybadger, it plain does not care otherwise!

If you guessed that this translates to Manual with Clutch Card did not meet with the requirements for this challenge, well, there you would be right!

Just for the heck o fit, I thought you might enjoy it if we were to share the statistics and results for the measures that we took with the aim of grinding out Cr. to use for buying Mod Packs.

Bear in mind that, despite having spent more than 4m Cr. on Mod Packs, while we were able to acquire all of the Mod Cards that are required with the exception of the Manual Dare Card, that is why we now must turn to grinding out Cr.

Since we have to do that anyway, we thought it might be useful to record the results with a plain (no Mods) configuration, and then again with the best Mods we haw available to illustrate that pair of benchmarks.

First Run: For the base run w/o Cards the pay-out was literally a flat 60K Cr. plus 60K Cr. VIP Bonus., and finally a Difficulty Bonus of 6K Cr. for a total of 126,000 Cr. for the run. Additionally we received x2 Spins as a result of the base score obtained which developed into a half-million Cr.

Second Run: Base payout = 60K Cr. + 60K Cr. VIP Bonus + 7,200 Cr. Assists Bonus + 6,000 Cr. Difficulty Bonus, Mods Bonus = 36K Cr. + 18K Cr. = s Total Income of 187,200 Cr.

* Green Superior Payout +60% Cr. (+36,000 Cr.)

* Purple Dare Mod: Dark Horse +30% Cr. (+18,000 Cr.)

As you can see the results here are very predictable... And generally very good. They're very much improved through the use of Mod Cards, and really if you think about it there is no good reason NOT to use them!

38. I Dare You (15g)

Finish first in a 24 car race using the Back of the Pack Dare Mod.

For this Mod-based Achievement you will need to obtain the rare "Back of the Back" Dare Mod, which can only be obtained from Signature and Premium Mod Packs. Just a small reminder, but the Mod Packs come as:

  • Base Pack = 12K Cr.

  • Crew and Dare Pack = 25K Cr.

  • Superior Pack = 50K Cr.

  • Signature Pack = 150K Cr.

  • Premium Pack = 300K Cr.

The Back of the Back Mod Dare (which you absolutely need) is only found in the Signature (150K Cr.) and/or Premium (300K Cr.) Packs. So yeah, not cheap. But still...

Along the way you may pick up a "Ghost" Mod (Single Use) which you may find to be useful as it allows you to pass through your opponents for one complete lap. This is nice but not mandatory.

If you have trouble getting the Mod Cards you need and you start to consider selling duplicates of the ones you have - please remember that while you can certainly sell any duplicates for cards that have Unlimited Uses, it is generally considered to be smarter to keep the limited use cards as you never know when you may need one!

39. Up to the Challenge (10g)

Finish first in a 24 car race using the Suggested Line Off, Cockpit Camera Only Dare.

The official descriptions here really do a bad job of explaining what it takes for these. For the record here is the deal: You will need to obtain the "Immersion" Dare Mod, which is a Rare Dare Mod Card whose description is "Suggested Line off and Cockpit Camera Only." The card goes on to explain that you should "Hit the objective to earn +20% Cr."

When you are ready to do this, pick your car and race, add the Dare Mod Card, then run the race and win. The Achievement will then unlock for you.

40. Spin to Win (10g)

Do 25 prize spins.

This will likely be among the last half-dozen or so you unlock just because you have to get your character to Level 25 so as to have had the 25 Free Spins required for it. On the plus side, all those Free Spins should have gotten you a fair amount of Cr.with which to buy Mod Cards!

Conclusions

By the time you reach this point you will have accomplished something significant - you will have unlocked 40 Achievements that are worth 670g for your efforts.

Even most of the racers who will stand and judge you have not unlocked many of them, and as a result, they will often view the fact that YOU have done so with more significance and even worth than they ultimately deserve.

While this is not truly an edge in any real sense, it will give you a measure of cred that you may otherwise have lacked, and that is saying something. So do seize the moment; do cause the rabble that make up those that would judge you choose to judge you in your favor!

With your newly won Gamerscore, even the most jaded of racers will no longer view you as an absolute newb. That is the point to all this after all. So well done you! You can thank us later...
