Before we dig into the Walkthrough it would be an idea to help put you mentally into the frame of mind that this sort of requires. Because what you are about to experience is not so much the traditional Walkthrough that takes you step-by-step through a level or story, or that provides the necessary instruction to get past difficult sections of a game... No this is something completely different.

The reason for that is actually very simple: in the world of Forza almost half of the challenge is in dealing with OTHER people. The rest is getting your mind into the right set for racing. This WTG will cover both of those important elements.

The first focus will cover getting through the Tutorial and into the story mode - which while there is sort of one can only be described as a loose narrative rather than an involved story. Then we will address certain social realities that while they are not exactly ideal or even desired, simply exists and need to be addressed.

The best advice that we can give you as you delve into the world of Forza Motorsports is to keep an open mind and try not to get too offended by people who judge you based on a lot of points that on the face of it all do not really seem all that important - and yet they are.

Finally one last observation... This is a game. It is supposed to be fun. If you are not having fun, something is wrong. It is our hope and desire to help you have fun, and that mates, is something right.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

AFTER you have maximized whatever rewards you will receive from your play of the previous games in the series, you should deal with the following IF it applies to you. Note - if you have already loaded the game and collected the starting rewards, then you can ignore this paragraph and the advice on maxing your rewards below.

If you have not had much experience in the Forza Series previously, and if you lack significant Gamerscore for previous Forza games (and other racing games) - and you intend to play the online multi-player side of this game - at this point we strongly urge you to do the following NOW:

(1) Open a new browser and load the page titled "Achievement Grinds" Now.

(2) Read that page and follow the instructions so that you unlock as many of the Achievements as you can now.

(3) Once you are satisfied that you have unlocked all of the Achievements in FM6 you feel you are likely to, return here and continue on...

Maximizing Your Pre-FM6 Rewards Path

Before you start playing FM6 you should be aware that there are two paths to seriously scoring a major advantage for play in FM6 that you should look to straight away.

Previous Titles in the Forza Series

As is traditionally the case, this newest entry in the FM series rewards the player for accomplishments in the previous games of the series (including the Forza Horizon Games!).

Remember that your loyalty rewards from the previous games are affected by a number of factors, including your overall Forza Score, your Tier Level, and the number of cars you have in the garage of each game - just to name the most important points.

Entering your first League Event unlocks an Achievement

So if you own any (or all) of the previous games, there are a few things you may want to do Before You Play FM6... And those are:the Number of Cars you own in your garages in each game

How, you may be wondering, do you figure out how many cars you have without resorting to logging into each game and counting them? Good question!

You can conveniently check the number of cars you own by going to the Rewards Website (https://rewards.forzamotorsport.net/en-US) and logging in, then selecting the specific game you want to check, then do Friends Compare, pick a friend, and select the Cars Owned Tab. That will tell you how many cars you own in the selected game.

Simply repeat for the other games and you will know how close you are to getting 300 cars in each game (which is the magic number for obtaining the max amount of Cr. reward in FM6).

The rewards are determined by your Tier and the number of cars you own the first time you start FM6 - so prior to logging in check the status for each of the previous games. If your car count is, for example, close to 300 in any of them it would be a very good idea to go play that game and get the count above 300 - or the cut-off point as shown in the list below - to max your reward...

  • Tier 2: 2015 BMW M235i

  • Tier 3: 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition

    200 - 299 cars in your garage = 1,000,000 credits

300 or more cars in your garage = 5,000,000 credits

Forza Horizon 2 Rewards

    50 - 199 cars in your garage = 100,000 credits

    200 - 299 cars in your garage = 1,000,000 credits

300 or more cars in your garage = 5,000,000 credits

2. Take Advantage of the Forza Rewards Scheme

You do this by visiting the Forza Hub from the main menu once you have started playing FM6 each month and collecting the monthly rewards - it is that simple!

If you already started the game then you cannot take advantage of increasing the initial reward - but that is OK as obtaining Cr. is wicked easy as you can farm them.

Farming Credits

Initially tou will need between 4 and 6 million Cr. so that you can buy LOTS of Mod Card Packs! No, seriously... Mod Card Packs. You want to buy lots of each type since you obtain different rarity and types from the different packs.

Spend what you have now on packs - the idea being to obtain a few of the Cr. modifier cards - +100% would be great but the +60% Cr. cards also work very well and are just fine for our purposes, as you will be combing them for the Showcase Endurance Events.

So if you find yourself short on Cr. just do the following to farm them - and I mean do exactly this:

1. Open CAREER > Showcases

2. Select the SEBRING 300

3. Open the Mod Cards Menu and select your Mods - we chose:

4. Windfall (Boost/Green) +100% Cr. or Superior Payout (Boost/Green) +60% Credits x3

5. Load the Audible.com App on your iPhone and pop your earbuds in then choose a book you like - we went with Neal Stephenson's Anathem ourselves... Now Hit Play!

6. And Now RACE!

Right so - this race is 82 Laps, for which you get paid a base Purse of 390,000 Cr. but then you apply the Mod Card modifiers and you get +180% Cr. or upon victory a payout of 930K Cr. (assuming you used three +60% Cards) or more. So beauty eh? Easy money and you needed to get that Showcase Event done anyway, so there you go!

Do this with each of the Endurance Events you have access to using the best reward cards you have access to and you will quickly acquire lots of Cr. which translates to lots of Mod Cards, which, well, you get the idea.

When you complete each of the Events you not only obtain the Purse from that Event plus whatever bonus you have applied in +% Cr. Boost Cards, you will also get LOTS of Wheel Spins which should equal lots of additional Cr. Put it this way - after doing the Sebring Endurance Event ONE TIME, I ended up with 6,787,671 Cr. and I will not be surprised if you get close to that as well.

Another bonus - you can pick manufacturers you have not capped and gain lots of Affinity as well as Cr. for leveling that up too! So how about that?

What's the Point?

That's easy - the point is to obtain a specific set of Mod Cards - in addition to the general collection that you want to build anyway.

There are some Dare and Boost Cards you want for the Achievements that require them - but there is also a base set of Crew (Blue) Cards that you really cannot win consistently without, so we include them in the bottom of the table below - and you should really make an effort to get these. You will be happy you did!

In fact you should continue to farm Credits and purchase packs at least until you have obtained the following cards at a minimum:

Card Name Value/Use Type/Color Rarity Associated Achievement
Back of the Pack Start in the 24th Grid Position. Hit the objective to earn +30% Cr. Dare / Purple Super Rare I Dare You
Immersion Suggested Line Off and Cockpit Camera only. Hit the objective to earn +20% Cr. Dare / Purple Rare Up to the Challenge.
Manual Shifting Manual transmission. Hit the objective to earn +15% Cr. Dare / Purple Uncommon You Shouldn't
Superior Payout x2 +60% Credits Boost / Green Rare Kickback alternate method
Windfall +100% Credits Boost / Green Super Rare Kickback
Braking Engineer +20% Braking +6% Grip Crew / Blue Super Rare N/A
Braking Engineer +20% Braking -5% Weight Crew / Blue Super Rare N/A
Braking Engineer +20% Braking +5% Power Crew / Blue Super Rare N/A
Chassis Engineer -10% Weight +12% Braking Crew / Blue Super Rare N/A
Chassis Engineer -10% Weight +5% Power Crew / Blue Super Rare N/A
Grip Engineer +12% Grip +12% Braking Crew / Blue Super Rare N/A
Grip Engineer +12% Grip -5% Weight Crew / Blue Super Rare N/A
Grip Engineer +12% Grip -+5% Power Crew / Blue Super Rare N/A
Powertrain Engineer +10% Power +12% Braking Crew / Blue Super Rare N/A
Powertrain Engineer +10% Power +6% Grip Crew / Blue Super Rare N/A
Powertrain Engineer +10% Power -5% Weight Crew / Blue Super Rare N/A

Basically once you have put together the Crew Card collection above, with the exception of the various Boost/Green disposable cards you also need, you have put together the nucleus of a card collection that will allow you to dominate every race in the Campaign!

Bearing in mind that the disposable cards are a LOT easier to come by and in the quantity you will need than some of these Super Rare ones. Still, if you stick to it, by the time you have collected all of the above you will also have put together quite a collection of the disposable cards needed as well, so it is totally win-win!

In the process of completing this you will unlock the Achievement Mod Buff (15g) Collect 50 Mods.
