After finishing all the personal touches on your manager's Avatar and selecting to move forward in Career Mode, you will be brought to a screen that allows you to select your manager's given coaching styles. On this given screen, you will be able to remove and add certain values to given categories for both Coaching and Mental Attributes. (You can even move a bar for better distribution among these selections.)

By dedicating more to Coaching Attributes, your manager will be better suited to help their Players progress on the field of play. These attributes include Attacking, Defending, Fitness, Goalkeeping, Tactical, Mental, Technical, and Working With Youngsters. By having higher stats in these given categories, the players on your club will perform better in these given areas when on the field because of your influence. Your manager will be known as more of a Tracksuit Head Coach when you put aside more attributes for these categories.

By dedicating more to your Mental Attributes, your manager will perform better with their duties off the field, including coaching, staffing, and managing. These attributes include Adaptability, Determination, Player Knowledge, Youngster Knowledge, Man Management, Level of Discipline, and Motivating. By having higher stats in these given areas, the Players on your club won't perform better with their skills on the field, but they will play harder and have a much better morale. Your manager will be known as a more Tactical Head Coach when you put aside more attributes for these given categories.
