For small to medium farms you can easily get away with just using a more powerful tractor to haul your crops to the marketplace (whichever) using a Tipper or a Tipper Train but for larger farms where you are moving crops in loads of 50K plus Liters.
You will find that using a truck and dolly (the dolly is used to bridge the three-point-hitch to the standard connector used on semi-trucks) is far more convenient, faster and far more efficient. To that end the base game includes one model of cab-over diesel truck.
Bear in mind that while you can pull Tippers using a dolly, there are also standard semi-trailers available as well which can hold massive amounts of crop fruit. In fact the logical approach once you reach the size of farm that supports the use of a semi-tractor-trailer setup is to restrict your Tractor-Tipper units to travel between field and silo, and then use the semi-tractor-trailer for all Silo-to-Market transportation of crops.
