If Tractors and Harvesters are the foundation of any farm, then tippers are the walls and the roof because the tipper is how you get your crops from field to silo, and for the most part from silo to market (at least early on).
The base game comes with a variety of Tippers, the primary differences between them being how much crop product that they can hold before they must be emptied (or Tipped) and their hitch type, which dictates the type of equipment used to haul them.
The base game includes the following unit models in the Tipper Category:
The following pretty awesome new additions to this section were added to the base game as paid DLC... So yeah, you paid real-world money for this expansion DLC (addon) but from our pov that was totally worth it!
The Hooklift Trailer is a modular trailer used to haul containers - anything from the standard maritime shipping containers you see stacked on the decks of huge container ships to specialized purpose-specific containers designed to be hauled by Hooklift Trailers...
These are special built containers designed to be loaded onto and transported by Hooklift Trailers...
In terms of practicality the ideal and most useful sizes in terms of capacity for use on both the base and the satellite farms seems to be in the range of between 21,000 L and 45,000 L. Particularly when you pull the Tippers in Trains. Just bear in mind that the tractor that pulls them needs to be able to pull the weight of the Tipper Trailer PLUS a full load of fruit.
