The device and tech that puts the seed in your field - and despite how it may seem they are NOT all made in equal convenience and function. Put another way, there can be more to the sower than meets the eye!
The base game comes with the following Sowing Machines:
- Pottinger Vitasem 302 ADD ($15,000) Maintenance = $50 /day Req Pwr 74 kW / 100 hp Capacity = 600 L Width = 3m (Wheat / Barley / Canola / Grass / Corn / Beet)
- Grimme GL 420 ($21,000) Maintenance = $70 /day Req Pwr 50 kW / 68 hp Capacity = 2650 L Width = 3m (Potato)
- Vaderstad Rapid A 600S ($52,000) Maintenance = $120 /day Req Pwr 132 kW / 180 hp Capacity = 4050 L Width = 6m (Wheat / Barley / Canola / Grass)
- Grimme GL 660 ($57,000) Maintenance = $130 /day Req Pwr 75 kW / 102 hp Capacity = 3975 L Width = 6m (Potato)
- Vaderstad Tempo F8 ($61,000) Maintenance = $170 /day Req Pwr 66 kW / 90 hp Capacity = 2396 L Width = 6m (Corn / Beet)
- Horsch Pronto 9 SW ($91,000) Maintenance = $220 /day Req Pwr 235 kW / 320 hp Capacity = 12,000 L Width = 9m (Wheat / Barley / Canola / Grass)
- Horsch Maestro 12 SW ($98,000) Maintenance = $280 /day Req Pwr 132 kW / 180 hp Capacity = 9000 L Width = 9m (Corn / Beet)
Considering the variety of seed that each can sow, you will want to choose carefully when spending this sort of money. We rather like the Pottinger Vitasem 302 ADD (and not just because it was the starter model) due to it being able to plant six (6) types of seed. For Potato the 6m spread of the Grimme GL 660 is appealing.
