How configure Xbox 360 Wireless Connection

Make sure that your wireless router is on and you have a working internet connection. For older generation consoles, make sure that your wireless adapter is properly connected. If you know the network name or SSID and its password (if any), do the following steps:

1. Press the Guide Button on your controller, go to Settings
2. Select System Settings then Network Settings



3. Choose Configure Network.



4. In the next window, under Basic Settings tab, highlight the first block of settings, the one that says Wireless Mode. This will open the Wireless Settings window.

5. In the Wireless Settings window, select Scan for Networks

• Select the wireless network you wish to connect to and enter the password when prompted. Once done, test the Xbox Live connection


• If the wireless network you want to connect is not displayed, proceed to the next step.

6. On the network selection screen, select Advanced then select Specify Unlisted Network.

7. Select SSID then enter the wireless network’s name.
8. Choose the encryption method that wireless network uses. It can be WEP, WPA or WPA 2.
9. If there’s a password set to that network, enter it in the next screen and select Done.
10. Test your Xbox Live connection again.

As an alternate method, you can also configure your wireless connection through Windows Connect Now.
