How to Improve Your Console's Wireless Signal

Is the wireless signal detected by your Xbox is fairly weak? This method is prone to several interference and obstructions. You might consider the following steps.

Keep your router away from the floor, walls and metal objects such as metal file cabinets.

Minimize the obstructions between your Xbox and the router.

Minimize the distance between the router and console. If it is possible, try placing your router and console within a few feet away from each other

If your using an external Xbox 360 wireless adapter, you may want to try changing the position of its antenna

Turn off other wireless devices. This is true if your router broadcasts 2.4 GHz (gigahertz) band; turn off other devices using the same frequency, such as 2.4GHz cordless phones and Bluetooth devices. Add a Wireless Repeater. A repeater is a device that extends your wireless broadband range. This is necessary in a location/household where you can't geographically use LAN cables for your console or if you can't physically move the console and/or the router closer to each other.
