Hey I was just wondering, can anybody help me on the first oblivion gate? I keep getting killed by the goblin thingies before I even get into the tower. It's really annoying. And same with the last recommendatiion for the mages guild. I keep getting killed by the marauders in the leyawiin one. I think I'm probably just pretty crap, but if anyone can help that would be great!

Try going on your options and reducing the difficulty bar right to the bottom. If that still does'nt help then try sneaking and shooting an arrow at them in the sneaking position without them seeing you. That usually 1 hits them, and if not then they won't have much life left.

You should level up before you do the blades quests as they are pretty hard. Try and sneak around or take them out from long range. If you are talking about scamps then a silence spell will stop them from casting fireballs.
