House in Chorral

I'm trying to buy a house in Chorral, but the countess tells me no. I have the walkthrough and it says you have to raise her disposition to 70, but it only goes to 69! I even did the Canvas in the Castle quest and still nothing. How can I buy the house? By the way, my fame is 19 and infamy 49.

Mmhm, your fame is already above the required level, so that shouldn't be the problem. Since you don't have to finish any other specific mission/s, you must be missing something when raising her disposition. Have you tried bribing her yet? When you can't raise a character's disposition by the regular means, giving money often works. Give it a shot, I suppose.

In order to get the house, you must have atleast 15 fame. since you have 19 fame, u could buy it but unfortunatley, you have enough Infamy to counter the fame, leaving u 30- fame. I sudgest you do the Pilgrims Way, for the Pilgrims Way get's rid of your infamy, allowing the countess to like you more and have enough fame to buy the house. The Prophet in Anvil should give you a map of the Pilgrim's Way. If your speechcraft is low and not at 70, I also sudgest Bribing.
